An explanation for why I haven't written anything in ages · 3:40am Jan 24th, 2020
In all honesty, I have no real excuse other than i've been busy artistically. As in, i've been drawing alot recently. But I assure all of you that it pertains to my story series, The Harmoniaverse. These past few days, i've been working on the expansion on one of the major antagonistic forces in the series. Or basically, a race that is an homage to the steeds of G1 Tirac, and the Xenomorph race, with a bit of demonic influence. In fact, this race's name is actually in honor of Lord Tirac, who ultimately was the first to make four of these beast in the stories first generation.
The Tiracians.
The best way I could ever describe them would be as a combination of demons, orcs, and heartless. The four monsters, the soldiers he commanded, and even Scorpan himself were a prototype version of these things when Tirac ruled Equestria in Generation one, courtesy of the Rainbow of Darkness. These things are, like Heartless, the manifestation of inner darkness that consumes their original forms. And it doesn't matter if you're a pony, dragon, griffon, yak, changeling, hippogriff, Kirin, or buffalo. Even the mythical creatures of the Everfree Forest, and around the world can be subjected to the influence of The Darkness. The Pony of Shadows himself is the biggest example of an Equestrian fully giving in to Darkness. However, the Tiracians of this story are not just corrupt creatures: they are also experiments to combine the most lethal elements of the most dangerous creatures, and make them instruments of war.
One of the most prominent aspect-creatures being manticores. Tirek takes the genetic material of the most lethal, and venomous creatures, injects them into a test subject (the eight sentient races, who hold the greater potential for corruption). After they are infected, they are then exposed to a spell equivalent to the Rainbow of Darkness, until the actual artifact can be recreated, and then give creation to an organism that embodies every nightmare you could imagine. I guess this is where the demon and orc aspect comes in. And when I say orcs, I mean the slave creations of Morgoth and Sauron in the realm of Middle Earth. Creatures who have some sapience, but are otherwise savage, and primitive abominations who only live to kill, and enslave in the name of their masters. A ruined, and terrible form of life......now perfected.
And there are different classes of Tiracians in the species, who each have a speciality of their own, which makes all of them absolutely fearsome, dangerous killers, and engines of war. In the next post, i'll begin posting a list of the Tiracians as I produce them - aside from the ones I already made. Either way, this is the reason why I haven't been writing lately. I have a feeling I really need to complete, and design the Tiracians before I can get writing again. I am an artist AND a writer at heart who has a certain order of things I like to do. And in the case of the Harmoniaverse, it's the creation of an original element that I want to make this retelling of the ninth season of Friendship is Magic. To make it feel like the lovechild of mlpfim, and epics like The Legend of Spyro, and The Lord of the Rings. But trust me when I say it won't be long now, as i only have a few more Tiracians to make, and then i'm getting back to writing.
I only regret making all of you who like what i've been doing so far wait for so long, but appreciate your patience, as well. I promise it will be well worth it once I have my important project complete. And I always do my best to keep my promises.
