I feel like this story doesn't need much of a description. After DJ Valkyri-3 I wanted to write more cutesy romance and see if I couldn't squirm my way back into ponified. Saw the picture and, well, this happened.
Also, I never really see Twilestia from Celestia's point of view. It's always form Twilight's or an omniscient view so I thought I'd try it out. Turns out it's really fun to write!

When one faces death, one sometimes questions the actions taken in the past. In a state of delirium, one such individual lay within a frozen cave, aware her mortal end. As she awaits the inevitable, her past returns to haunt her in feverish nightmares.

Taking place after A Canterlot Wedding, Queen Chrysalis is none too pleased about this state of affairs. Battered, bloodied, and with only a fraction of her forces left, she immediately takes off to Ponyville, refusing to stop for anything, not even the welfare of her own army. In order to satisfy her own sense of pride, she ignores everything in favor of destroying that which Celestia holds most dear: her dear student, Twilight Sparkle.

But as the march takes its toll on her subjects, will she realize what she is losing before it is too late?
