You've all heard the "I died and was Displaced to Equestria" prompt. Rather than Equestria, I wound up in a Void, waiting to be shaped into a world, and with the power to do just that. After a brief conversation with someone who may or may not exist (still not sure if I was talking to myself) I decided to create Equestria, just to see what would happen. It's not turning out quite as I'd pictured, but I'm enjoying the ride.

After a human wakes up to find that he's changed species and gender, he/she ended up spending a decade as an adventurer and after gaining a reputation as a member of a well-known group of explorers traveling the world. They have decided upon their next destination... Equestria.

But what led this human turned Dragon to this point?

This is the story of Flare Blacksmith, dragoness, traveler, Explorer, and did we forget to mention that she has a strong resemblance to a certain baby dragon named Spike?

This story is heavily inspired by the longtime favorite of many, Ten Years Gone, by Some Other Guy.

This is a prequel to a upcoming rendition of ten years gone called Ten Years Redone

I fully admit that the initial concept is not mine, and that some chapters have similarities to the original. I would gladly contact the author of the original if not for the fact that he has completely disappeared, and hast not been on the site for quite some time.

Ragar the Ageless has seen many things in his non-life. He has seen fields of cotton candy, the wails of the soon-to-be-dead chanting in chorus. Once he even saw a unicorn. Well, there are a lot of those in Equestria, so maybe that one was less noteworthy. But still, he's seen a lot. Now he wants others to see him in all his glorious evil. The only issue is he's not so good at it.

A human wakes up in the everfree before the events of nightmare moon. Or adult Luna and Celestia. Oh, and he’s a bird. A magical bird, but still a bird.

My life was simple: Wake up, go to work, go to bed rinse and repeat. Not the most exciting or fulfilling life, but I like it. It was simple, no one ever bothered me and most importantly it was orderly, no chances of me getting into harms way or going off to do something stupidly dangerous. But I guess the gods have other plans for me as I'm flung into the universe that all bronies love/wish to go. Then again most broines don't know the difference between the real Equestria and one they wish to believe in...and I'm getting the front row seat for this shit storm. Yet another extension in the universe Rust and Blackwing created and along with the many other contributers. I would also love constructive criticism and feedback. Also a big thanks to Aoi, i know you probaly have heard this before, but your awesome. I always wanted to go to Equestria. When I got the chance, I took the deal without reading the fine print. To my surprise, I didn't arrive there as a pony, or even as a human. It seems I get to view this world from a different perspective than what I've imagined.
