Sometimes we forget who we really are. We ignore things that should be important until we forget they were even there and end up locked away in forgotten places in our hearts. But no matter what happens, we can never hide from ourselves. This is the story of when people meet, even when they were never meant to do so. A story that shows us how alien we can be to other worlds... Or to ourselves.

Good morning, afternoon, night, or whenever you're reading this. My name is Edward, aka 'patient 42', and I am currently residing in an insane asylum.
Why?
I suppose it all started When the ruler of this place called Equestria tasked her personal student, Twilight Sparkle, to travel to Earth and study the human race.
Unfortunately for Twilight, when she teleported to our world she, well... she appeared in the middle of the road. Right in front of my car. Needless to say, this put a pretty big dent in her expedition. ...as well as my car's bumper.

Sounds crazy, right? But hey, maybe thats the reason why I'm in this cell.
Point is, The story I'm about to tell you is the tale of events sparked by that ill-fated night.

note: In this plane of existence, the franchise "My Little Pony" does not exist. In short; this is not, nor will it ever be, a 'brony meets pony' story.
Also, on a more recent note, I had this idea and began writing way back in S2, so this is in no way inspired by EqG. (also, its non-alicorn twilight)

Twilight Sparkle is trapped in the body of a human who in turn, has taken her own and disappeared with it. Nopony believes her: not her brother, friends, nor mentor. She is being interrogated and asked a single question: Where is Twilight Sparkle? When she tells them that she is the one they seek, torture follows. Twilight begins to lose hope and weighs the question: What's the point of going on when even the world bets against you?

Aaron Jacobson is a Flight Engineer aboard the MIRV-03, a vessel launched in last-ditch attempt to continue Humanity's legacy after its inevitable doom.

Twilight Sparkle and Rainbow Dash watch from the Library and the sky as a shooting star becomes a burning ball of plasma headed straight for the Everfree Forest.

Will the crew of the starship survive the crash? How will the ponies react to the new species?

Warning: Contains some violence (thus the Teen content rating); and more importantly is my first story (thus the probably trashy quality).

It has been close to a year since the multiverse decided that it was time for you to have a change of scenery. Living with the Apple family and working on their farm, you have carved out a surprisingly fulfilling life for yourself in this alien world. Yet, there is still something that you yearn for...something near...something so close yet just out of reach. Something, call it a fool's hope, tells you she may feel the same...and when things boil over with an old 'friend' you make a decision that could change your life in Equestria forever.

You are Anonymous, you are fit, you are the only human in Equestria, and Rainbow is your best friend and workout buddy. For one reason or another, mares find you desirable, unnervingly so. For the longest time, your best bro, Rainbow Dash, has protected you from their advances. One day however, things you have been noticing for a while begin to start piling up; her blushing, the way her wings tend to stiffen around you...it couldn't be, could it?

When Twilight Sparkle decides to try a new spell she has perfected, she successfully pulls a being from another universe into Equestria. That being coincidentally is a human...that human coincidentally is you. What at first just seems like an opportunity for first contact between two species soon becomes something much more when certain truths are brought to light...and everything you knew about your life is flipped onto its head.

NOTE: At times in this story, the main character's thought process will be shown as an inner monologue with his brain. BRAIN's dialogue will appear in this color of text.

You, a young human living in Canterlot, have never fit in with anyone. It's been years since you were found in Equestria, and you've become a small outcast in this world of ponies. Hiding away from everyone, you find solace in another strange being, a weird black bug-like filly that calls herself Chrysalis.

And through darkness comes light and through light comes darkness.

To know everything can not be done, for even immortality leaves one answer from our grasp.

The Canterlot Caverns are a strange and enigmatic place, untouched and forgotten by pony-kind for centuries. So when a strange metal object is unearthed in their depths, it's up to Twilight Sparkle and Lyra Heartstrings to discover the many secrets it holds.

Together, the two of them will have to do their best to understand the remnants of an ancient civilization, and decipher what remains of Those Who Came Before.
