It has been three months after Twilight Sparkle and Luna get married, now it was time for Shining Amor and Princess Celestia to get married as everyone joins.

Set three centuries after Twilight's coronation, the weight of immortality is painful as Applejack, the last of her friends, finally slips beyond Twilight's grasp. Twilight grapples with the depths of her sorrow and an unspoken love for Celestia.

In the modern era, it has become common for foreigners to mock Equestria, seeing the pony nation as weak, naive, unwilling to commit to hard decisions. More belligerent neighbors often view the ponies as easy prey or targets, to have their magic stolen, to be devoured and pillaged, or conquered as a ready supply of slaves.

It was not always thus. In ages past, Equestria was a land of heroes and legends, of darkness and bloodshed. In time, the princesses learned to temper strength with mercy, power with forbearance, and righteous conviction with benevolence.

But now, a thousand years after the younger princess was banished to the moon, the long peace is drawing to a close. Forces both within and without Equestria awaken, seeing a nation weak and easily toppled. Seeing a people grown fat on peace and luxury, who have long forgotten the hardships of war and conflict, or the glory of bloodshed.

Woe betide to all who come to Equestria with ill intent. For in all these long years of peace, the Princess of the Sun has never forgotten the lessons of war, and her eyes watch over her beloved subjects with not only patience and understanding, but an implicit promise of protection.

The time will come soon, when those who would do Celestia's Little Ponies wrong will come to learn... That even an Empire of Mercy is still paved upon the bones of its enemies.

Alternate universe story based on two main principals: First, that Rainbow Dash is taken in as Celestia's student in addition to Twilight. Second, that the threats to Equestria are both larger in magnitude, but also countered by a more competent and militarized Equestria. Also, it will follow my headcanon that alicorn's are gender neutral.

It is also somewhat based on my love of story threads that are disconnected but still intersect. The continuity will not really have a single group of main characters (Though it will start with mostly Rainbow Dash and Celestia), but rather a number of different story threads playing out simultaneously across the world. I have plans for the Mane Six, Celestia, Luna, Spike, Starlight Glimmer, and Scootaloo at the least.

I will be posting every 14 days on saturday, at least for the time being. Story is in present tense, third person. Genre will kinda be all over the place, parts of the story will include the whole spectrum from war story to slice of life to drama to who knows what else.

When Twilight has returned from limbo as an Alicorn, Celestia also underwent a big change. This one was not quite so... expected, though.

In a world plagued by Black Magic for the past fourteen years, society teeters on the edge of chaos and despair. Amidst these dark times, a young girl developed a curiosity for the mysteries and science of the true magic that once flourished in this world.

Unbeknownst to her, she is the daughter of Sunset Shimmer, the interdimensional being that brought magic into this world 20 years ago. Tragically, Sunset passed away after her daughter's birth. The baby girl, Sunrise Shimmer, grew up under the secluded guardianship of Canterlot High's principal, Celestia.

Fourteen years later, Sunrise's life takes an unexpected turn when she enters her first year at Canterlot High and encounters Brilliant Light, the exceptionally gifted son of the esteemed scientist, Dr. Twilight Sparkle. Sunrise and her new friends embark on a journey that promises to unravel the enigmas of the past and shape the destiny of their tumultuous world.

No, not just inspired, this is a direct spinoff (a rip-off, some might call it) of Dan's, so I have deliberately written this so that you have to read that first to fully experience this. 

Without further ado. 

Tasked by the mysterious alicorn tribe, a young Celestia and Luna must leave the safety of their home and venture into the world beyond to uncover their kin's sacred artifact, the Teardrops of Creation. Blinded by urgency and tradition, it is only during the mission that they realize what they're searching for is something far more important than a mere artifact.

Throughout their journey, the estranged Sisters must face hardship from within and without, as they also try to discover the source of a strange sort of magic plaguing Equestria. Unaware that their adventure plays right into a gambit between gods and demigods, vying to shape the future of the world.

After more than nine hundred years of losing beloved ponies to her, Celestia finds herself alone in a huge palace, surrounded by guards that served more as decoration. And soon after receiving the news that an entire village was saved from a landslide, the Princess is surprised by a filly who has been bestowed with the powers of an alicorn.

Celestia sees in the filly a series of possibilities and potential to become a princess, now will this little light amidst the darkness of her life be maintained?

The Crystal Heart was never brought back to the Crystal Ponies. King Sombra successfully took back the Crystal Empire and declared war on Equestria.

Underpowered and unprepared, Equestria is barely a match for Sombra's army. Everypony needed to do their part just for the war to reach a stalemate, but is their a glimmer of hope within the hearts of some?
