After a decade of protecting Equestria with the Elements of Harmony, Ponyville is a very different place. Or maybe it's exactly the same. Either way, the Bearers of the eight Elements of Harmony better get to the bottom of it.

A slightly more mind screwy adventure story than my usual, that will be updated irregularly.

Once, long ago, Equestria was full of life. Then the Nightmare came. She cast down her sister, sealed away the sun and cursed the world to an eternal winter.

A thousand years later in the ruins of what was once Ponyville you find hoofprints, traces of the last pony. You follow them to answers, tragedy, and the terrible truth.

Every night, in a little stable just outside of town, an old mare lays down to sleep. And every night she has the same dream of rainbows and open sky...

Losing your home isn't something that you get over in a day—Spike doesn't think so, at least. But Twilight insists that she's not overly distraught by the destruction of the Golden Oak Library, and she says that she's simply ready to move on. Spike, on the other hand, can't let go of his old home quite so easily. Is Spike just blowing this whole thing out of proportion, or is there something Twilight isn't telling him?

Twilight takes a walk in the woods near Canterlot to clear her mind, when a mischievous little phoenix starts dropping chestnut shells on her head. Quite a familiar mischievous little phoenix.

Somewhat inspired by the song "Evermore" by Alison Krauss, a story to perhaps make its reader smile.
