WRITTEN BEFORE SEASON 5!!!
Without altering anything canon up to season 4 (though the movies are kind of skipped over, sorry), I manage to completely rewrite everything that happened. No, seriously. And it all started based off of Discord's photo-bomb in Fluttershy's window during the season 4 theme.

What if, rather than leaving with Celestia after he was reformed, Discord ended up staying at Fluttershy's house, unknown to any of the other ponies? Chaos ensues. (Pun intended. )

This story is a sequel to Detente

Discord takes Fluttershy to see something chaotic he's made that he thinks will be considered harmless and beautiful -- rain made out of light. Fluttershy agrees, but fears that ponies won't accept it anyway. They discuss friendship, and Fluttershy comes to some unwanted conclusions regarding her own feelings. One-sided, mild Fluttercord.

This story is the bridge between Princess Twilight Sparkle Endcaps and Elements of Opposition. To those who have not read the story before, and who like happy endings: don't read the second chapter. It leads directly into Elements of Opposition, and is the main reason the story has a "Sad" tag.

Twilight Sparkle expected stellar results when Rainbow Dash returned from her very first solo friendship mission, but the scene that meets her shocks even her seasoned heart as the Princess of Friendship. There is too much turmoil still in the land of Equestria and even the Princess of Friendship cannot save every single last one of the ponies in desperate need of a friend.

But there is one close that she should have seen the pain in. One pegasus pony that had always been loyal to her and, ultimately, their friends above all else.

She can take it.
