Princess Celestia had a good day. Luna had been going out more often and was becoming quite fond of nightclubs, her dear niece Cadance had formally announced her pregnancy—though, privately, Celestia felt she was too young to be a great aunt—and, of course, Twilight, her beloved former student, had taken on her first student and Celestia couldn't be prouder! Yes, it had been a good day.

Celestia Sol woke up much like she did every day the morning: sun waking her as it danced upon her eye lids. Wait, the sun? Celestia's eyes snapped open to reveal she was in Twilight's old room in the observatory. On the other side of the room was a smaller bed where a small dusky unicorn was drooling on her pillow.

Clearly, it must be Tuesday.

This is Equestria. But something went differently this time. The Everfree is even more out of control, and has become a breeding ground and nesting place for thousands of dangerous creatures. With so many new threats constantly changing, evolving in the darkness, no one knows what the next monster could be capable of. In such a world, the Unknown means Danger.

Meet Pinkie Pie. She's an earth pony who likes parties and making everyone smile. She's very, very good at it.

That's a bad thing.

You see, some of the things she does are... strange. Unnatural. Sure, parties may be her special talent, but that doesn't explain where she got a cannon that can decorate a room. And it doesn't stop at parties. There's something unnatural about that mare. No one can explain it.

Pinkie Pie is an Unknown.

Unknowns are dangerous.

Princess Celestia has taken the poor pony under her wing, and raised her away from unfriendly eyes, allowing her to live what approaches a normal life. Soon, Pinkie will be reintroduced to the world at large, starting with a little town called Ponyville, on the day of the one-thousandth Summer Sun Celebration.

Let's see how that goes.

Sweetie Belle would have been perfectly happy to spend her long weekend in a theater. She would have been just as happy to ignore the fact that she would be stuck with Silver Spoon the whole time as well. When a vengeful spirit declares war on the fashion show being hosted at the theater, however, Sweetie and Silver find an unlikely alliance forming—as well as an unlikely affection.

Can the two fillies work out their differences and defeat The Phantom of the Bitmore? And how will Sweetie Belle react to the terrible secret of the Phantom?

Sweetie Belle and Silver Spoon have been dating for six months. It hasn't been easy for Silver Spoon to get over all her bad habits, or for Sweetie Belle to completely forget the past, but with a little effort, and a lot of love, they've made it through together.

That's why Sweetie Belle knows that this, their first Hearth's Warming together, should be perfect. Especially since she won't have a chance to see Silver for two whole weeks. She has to find adventure, obviously. And when an airship captained by a pegasus pony flies through Ponyville one lazy summer day, dragging a flying iceberg behind it, Rainbow Dash realizes this might be the opportunity she's been waiting for.

But nopony ever said adventuring was easy.

A human stays among ponies, mystifying them with his odd traditions and customs. It will be five years before Celestia and Twilight can send him back to his homeworld. Until then, Twilight wants to study him and have him experience pony culture. These are their stories.

Party times are frequent in Equestria, but there are only a dozen state-wide official holidays. But as in the human world, there is the real story, then the fun and mythical story for added entertainment. As humans have Santa and the Easter Bunny, Equestrians have their own frivolous elements to celebrations, and stories about those fictional beings that reinforce societal values and link them to the holiday to justify the position.
