My assignment in English class was to write a creative short-story (3 pages maximum) that somehow incorporated the item my group was given (which, in my groups case, was a block of petrified wood). This was the result. After receiving 100% on it, I decided I'd upload it here. I have never written fanfiction before, and I don't plan to continue. Still, I enjoyed writing this and I hope you enjoy reading it.

Vinyl and Octavia has recently moved to Vinyl's old hometown of Ponyville for a change of pace.
What the pair didn't count on was the appearence of a certain pink pony who drags up bad memories from a certain gala for the grey earth pony. Luckily those memories won't stay with her for that long.

When Rainbow Dash is offered a high ranking weather position in Cloudsdale, she must choose whether or not to continue down the path of becoming a Wonderbolt, a possible outcome of accepting the job, or remain in Ponyville and risk letting her dreams slip away for good.

Characters will be added as the story progresses.

Her eyes are always the subject of many jokes, even in her nickname: Derpy Hooves. Ditzy Doo was always a pony who messed things up. Everypony always taunted her and teased her, and they still do today. She always takes the jokes with a small smile, but what is really behind the smile? What is it really like to be insulted every day, as if nopony thought you knew what they were talking about?

Twilight needs to leave town for a mission from Princess Celestia, leaving Spike to watch the library while she's gone. Shortly after Twilight leaves, a certain rainbow maned pegasus come over to read the next Daring Do. But as Rainbow spends more time with the little dragon, she starts to have feeling for him. Meanwhile, Spike also has deep feeling for Rainbow. Can these two finally confess there love, or will they forever stay apart.

Nightmare Night goes a little differently and leads into a spiraling staircase of events. the Night will forever be mixed with the scent of Lavender.
this is basically my old story Lavender Night, but revised and redone completely, only the basic story elements are there

Vinyl and Octavia fic i came up with. inspired by Two's company, three's crowd. I did my best not to copy from other stories like it and to change things up up, but there's only so much you can do after you find a good base for characters you see for two seconds. I'd like some criticism, but only if it helps. I do NOT want random hating and if you see something a little too similar in my story tell me and I'll either give credit to the original owner of whatever it is, unless I came up with the Idea myself and it happens to be the same as another...then i don't care

On what was supposed to be a special Hearts n' Hooves day for two pairs of lovers, the unthinkable happens. Tragic events have taken both the lives of Octavia Philimarica and Lyra Heartstrings, leaving nothing but an empty void for both Bon Bon and Vinyl Scratch, who only have each other to comfort in this most dire of circumstances.

All is not lost though. The death which has befallen them can be reversed. However, the spell that can be used for the revival for both of the comatoste mares is new and unknown.
If the rescue of both mares fail, both Bon Bon and Vinyl face the very real possibility of joining their pride in eternal slumber. Despite this, even if they have to die to breath life back into those who they love, they will fight till both mares breath again.
