Twilight Sparkle, the princess of friendship is dead. In her place, Twilight Shade, the queen of darkness has risen. She has had a lot of time to plan out her next move. And she has her sights set on Equestria. One pony at a time.

This story is a sequel to The Age of Iron.

“Once upon a time, in the magical land of Equestria, there were two regal sisters who ruled together.” So begins a tale with which we are all familiar; a story about six friends and their adventures, both fantastic and mundane. But what if...

What if Twilight Sparkle didn't earn her royal status by merit, but by revolution? Why would she do it? What could have caused her to turn against her mentor? How would she rule Equestria, now that it is in her hooves? This gives us a brief look into the throne room of the newly-crowned Queen Twilight Sparkle.

Twilight acquired her wings not to long ago and now she's thinking of she is going to do next. While she has been thinking Rainbow Dash has been planing a little something for her new flying buddy.

EDIT: This is going to be an ongoing series with one or two chapters each week, more if I can, and I am also going to try to get out a new short with that to :D the reson there are only one or two each week is because I still go to school and am busy, but I try to do what I can ;)

Celestia has passed on, all of Equestria weeps for her passing. The crown of Equestria is passed on to Twilight. But Equestria is under threat of collapsing in on itself. Twilight is doing everything she can to prevent this. But will she go too far to protect it?

Twilight has just become an alicorn, a ruling Princess of Equestria. For a brief time, all seems well. But when both the reality of her new station and a dark secret behind Equestria's history finally confront her in full force, Twilight is forced to make decisions that could change the face of the Kingdom and ponykind forever. After a long time letting it lay dormant, I've decided to give this story a complete reboot. Much of the original plot will be kept largely intact, but the focus has changed completely from the alicorn immortality itself to Twilight discovering its true nature and the history behind it. The clunky old wording and dialogue is being updated and improved as well.

Darkness can be in a heart and nopony will ever find out what the mare is truly about. So they cry over a mystery that can be solved until a clue arises and the heart is revealed. A mares heart can be as black as night and a cold as ice. The dark secret will ruin everything, you love dear. It depends on what you do when someone finds out what you've done will you redeem yourself of cast you self into the deepest part of the shadow. A choice can change everything and if you choose wrong you can throw it all away all your hopes. Can you truly be as black as night even if you repent? Cast away everything. Cast it all away for power. Power is a motive to do everything. The word Power who would be a princess when they could be a Queen?
