Stepped on the scale this morning, and discovered that I dropped my tenth pound!
I have to keep telling myself that as I fight a craving for peanut butter cups.

When I started this intermittent fasting journey, I was at 303 lbs. That's not absolutely huge because of my height of 6'4, but still needed to get under control. I stopped posting updates about my progress a few weeks back because I came to my first plateau at 280 lbs, and that frustratingly persisted for three weeks.
Luckily, I pushed through it, and last week, weighed in at 277, and just this morning before a late (and lite) breakfast, I came in at 274.
Sorry if you don't want dieting blogs, but I motivate myself by telling others.
Today marks two weeks of no soda, and I'm starting intermittent fasting today.
Here's to a better me in 2023.
Today is a really freaking good day.
After two 24-hour fasts and one 26-hour fast this week, I decided to do my weigh-in a day early.
I'm glad I did.
Six more pounds down, for a total of 23 over the past four weeks.
I'm down to 280.
Celebrated with some chili and added in some of Sauce #4 from the Hot Ones box.
I got a bunch of recipes from my sister for Xmas, and I got around to trying the first one out tonight:
Steak (eye of round, one of the cheaper cuts), carrots, yukon gold potatoes, and definitely the star of the dish is the mushroom cream sauce with scallion whites, garlic, beef stock concentrate, and sour cream. I'm definitely making more of that, even if I run out of steak.
Quarantine has lessened my food cravings, which has taught me self-discipline, which helped me on my weight loss journey through exercise. My previous weight is 176 lbs. Now, I weigh 169 lbs. and with a height of 5'9", my BMI is at 25.0. I'm almost there to achieve a normal BMI. ✌️
Obviously, I feel fucking awesome about that.
It's largely due to intermittent fasting for the past 24 days, where I've gone anywhere from 16 to 21 hours without eating every day.
That and meal prep, and tonight's cooking is for the next few days.
From 169, my weight is now 168.8 lbs and my BMI is 24.9. I'm so proud of myself and I can definitely say that the workout today really paid off. However, I will not rest on my laurels. I will continue on my weight loss/maintenance journey while the quarantine still goes on.
So just under a week and a half ago, I decided to get back on the wagon and begin intermittent fasting again.
I woke up today, and felt absolutely awesome when I had my first weigh-in since starting, and I'm down six pounds.
Then, I got called into work for an extra six hours on my next check.
So all in all, it's been a really freaking good day.
Just finished with meal prep for the rest of the week. Because what's better than frozen TV dinners?
For the past year I've kept my weight fairly stable, but haven't really lost any. That changes starting today! If not for personal health, if not to attract a mate, then for the fact that $150 is on the line!
Last year, I was at a range of 167-169 lbs. As the pandemic went by, my food cravings have lessened over time. I just finished exercising and now, I'm at 157.5 lbs., with a BMI of 23.3. Awesome! ✌🏻
I wrote recently about being on a diet and losing a lot of weight.
I mentioned that I had a digital scale that was only accurate up to 333 pounds. For any weight over that, it would read “EEEE.” I was on the diet for several weeks before I could even see a number on it, and that number was, of course, 333.0 pounds.
I don't usually make blogs about my personal life, but this is something I had to get off my chest, almost literally. And there may be something extra in it for you. I hope so, in a way, but I mainly hope not. Feel free to read, regardless; I'll try to keep it entertaining.

I spoke to dad today about certain things. My situation, hunting for work, what my general plan is and what I'm thinking of doing once I'm back home. Face it, that's going to be the outcome whichever way I sniff it. I'll always come back home, by choice or not. It's in the script.
