So, Mare of Steel got it's review today. YAY!
Here it is in two parts
I originally was going to have Rainbow Dash meet Diana at the end of Mare of Steel, as an extra little epilogue after the Darkseid scene.
Hit a dull patch in my writing, so I'm listening to a dramatic reading of My Immortal to get my creativity going. I feel that reading bad fan fics is a good thing because it educates you in what not to do when writing, and given that 90% of all fan fic is crap then you have a lot of options to choose from.
I've been watching too much Atop the Fourth Wall lately. Not necessarily a bad thing, but it's gotten me to thinking about all the stupid things that could happen in my stories.
So, here's a few things that I promise won't happen:
So, I've decided to keep Trixie in the Core 7 of the Justice League.
Why? because 1) I want to explore some aspects of Trixie's character (part of it being that she doesn't really see somepony like her being hero material) and 2) I thought of a story where Twilight/Doctor Fate gets flung into another dimension during Darkseid's invasion and battles demons and eldritch horrors in order to get back home.
How's that sound?
Title says it all; I'm thinking about modifying the roster again
Specifically, should I go with Trixie (Zatanna) or Twilight (Doctor Fate)?
On one hand, I want to show Trixie turning over a new leaf, and I had ideas on how I could tie her in to New Genesis. On the other hand, Twilight has had more of a positive impact on this particular universe, and I would have to find a reason why she wouldn't just fight Darkseid herself/ join the League and make it a bit unbalanced numberwise.
Thoughts?
Fun episode; would watch again.
However, I will not be retconning Mare of Steel or my other Justice League stories to better fit canon. For one, I'm going completely off the rails after Darkseid's invasion. Also, counting the candles on Rainbow's cake she's at least 21 (I say "at least" because if you count the candles we probably didn't see she'd be 31), when I already established she's about 25 in the JLE universe.
No, I saw that movie awhile ago
I just wanted to say that I sent A Dark Knight Over Trottingham out for publishing just now. It should be up sometime tomorrow morning.
Edit: Well, that was fast
I think I might use the Harmony Tree after all.
Why? Well, if I didn't, what's to stop the Mane 6 from just blasting Darkseid with the Elements?
