I always hated the sad stories where Spike dies... but that love shown here is just too good... and it left enough of a story for my imagination to make the one perfect for me... but that's just crazy me talkin

Not at all a bad one-shot. You really made me feel despite how short it was. I think if you gave it just one more brush of editing to fix the typos and some consistencies, I think this would get a lot more recognition. I'm very sorry to hear about your dad, and I hope you feel better soon.

I think what she means is that she was glad for the time she spent with him, even if it did end up hurting her in the end.
This story is really bittersweet and nice, but it doesn't feel emotionally manipulative.
I like it
It can be jarring or distracting to some people.
The only bit of critique I have for it is the beginning, where it pretty much shoves your ships into the story by stating who the mane six are going out with.
But my favorite part is when Fluttershy just breaks down at the cemetery
