MalificMare

Completely uncertain as to why I'm suddenly so obsessed with this fandom...

E

This story is a sequel to A Letter Long Overdue

Celestia has long since forgotten how to be anything other than the sun princess. There was a time she was a beloved sister, a loving aunt... a different mare.

When did she lose that mare?

Sequel to A Letter Long Overdue. I plan for there to be another piece to this story, possibly a multi-chapter fic.

Thank you very much! :twilightsheepish:

I think it says something (or not?) that the story that seems to be the turning point in this series is the first not to creep me out at all at any given point, leaning more towards d'aww's than the sensation of suddenly missing a chunk of your own skin. All very good, will wait for the next part! :coolphoto:

Upvoted for bitey Luna.

Kudos to you my friend, you have shown us a side of Celestia that everyone is afraid to show. We see her as the unshakable sun goddess but here we see her emotions, her mistakes, her weakness. She is not the tyrant or the monarch that rules the most powerful nation but the fallen star, her light has been dimmed. An excellent portrayal of the true emotional destruction that has taken place within. The question now is will she redeem herself or will she fall into her own pity and despair, fading completely? Everyone must pay the price for their actions

Sorry I didn't reply to you sooner, I was working on the next part in the series, which scarily enough, inspired it's own side story. Glad you liked, though I can't promise no more of the skin-crawling moments. Though the first chapter does seem to contain a bit of comedy as well. It'll be on it's way soon, I need to go over it a couple more times in the hopes of catching any mistakes, since I don't have a pre-reader. :facehoof:

LOL, thank you! She'll make a reappearance in the forthcoming sequel. :scootangel:

Whoo, thanks for such a wonderful review! I've been working on the next part in the series. The first chapter has some humor to leaven out the angst, but you can still see how fragile Celestia is, as the story goes on. For an immortal princess, she still has a bit of growing and healing to do, both for herself and others who love her.

And of course, there's Blueblood, who has his own journeys to make. :duck:

And this was... yup, this was really good. The style felt very solid, as was the story and emotions. Very short for tacking such a big issue as Celestia's state of mind, but the open ends feel like they add to the story. Like it's the story of the beginning of a story, if that makes any sense. Cheers.

Also... a lot of similar themes between this and my work in progress. I shall have to be careful to avoid being influenced.

So there is no sequels awwwww:fluttercry:

A good way of continuing the story. Luna as a moral backbone. Wonderful. I think, you have a very interesting way of chosing the moral backbones. First it is Blueblood and now it is Luna. Luna is not so surprisingly. She is often the moral backbone in stories. But Blueblood. He really is an expectation. I really like this. Also Luna's appeal. You have become the mask you were. I use this topic as well in a story of mine.

Once upon a time, you said;

I plan for there to be another piece to this story, possibly a multi-chapter fic.

Is this idea dead or is there still hope for its creation?

Lloré, así de hermosa es tu historia.

Even in her "DREAMS", I could see her manipulating her subjects, like pawns. AND LUNA BIT HER !!!!!
