And of course, as it always is with changelings, it turns into a journey that reveals there's more to a changeling than meets the eye.

This, this right here is gold. The kingdom is filled out, with names, personalities, and culture. Hikari feels natural, but cunning like her mother. Twilight is right in character, and the conflict is vivid, yet it shows that there might be something going on behind the scenes.
This deserves a like, fave and a watch. I'll keep my eye on this story.

When Darius the King of Persia died, betrayed by his brethren to save their skin from his opponent Alexander the Great what do you think the Greek King did? He felt sorrow for the death of his enemy, for even though he wasn't the bravest of all he always fought for his land, and strived even with diplomacy to hold back Alexander. He saw him at a cart abandoned by the traitors, two holes from a spear upon his chest. The last things he told to a Greek soldier who gave him water before he died was "I am sorry I won't be able to repay you this kindness. My thanks to your king too... for he was far kinder to me and my family than I would ever have been to his." Alexander lay his cloak on top of his enemy when he found him. He didn't like him but he respected him. Incidentaly the traitors send back their leader after a later chase to appease the King's rage. Alexander punished him for his cowardice with a torturous death. Some say he was whipped, but the darker tales speak of his appendages being tied to a tree and his body being cut in half by the force.
Brutal I know! But seriously brah... ensure that large-scale extermination of changelings doesn't get treated lightly.

Here's a hint: the traitor is not Terra or the changeling advisor that was talking to Chrysalis earlier in the story. The traitor is also not the changeling guard Hikaru was yelling at. The traitor is a character that has not been mentioned yet.
