This story is a sequel to The Trouble with Doubles
Like most other families, Flash Sentry and his family can be found in church on Sunday mornings. On some Sunday mornings, Flash volunteers to play back-up guitar on the worship team. This Sunday was supposed to be one of those Sunday mornings, key phrase: "supposed to be."
Interesting. So Flash's grandfather was a source of support for him. I look forward to seeing where this goes.
Not bad. Guess Flash has some confidence issues, but his family is always there for him.
So true.
I'd suggest you do a little more research before do that.
But to the story, It's an interesting take on Flash's faith and doubt. Also sad but true many guys fear that they will become the worse parts of their fathers. But nice to see come to some form of terms that he is not his father.

Yeah, I've had a few subtle struggles with pride, self-worth, and false humility myself. That's how I got the idea for this story.
Ugh Babitst? I'm so sorry Flash. I grew up Babitst, got the hell out of there quick.

The university that I went to was Baptist. I had a whole lot of good memories there, so that was my way of giving it a shout-out. I'm sorry if yours weren't so sweet.

I understand. You're lucky, cause I started seeing some very bad signs that my church wasn't so accepting and inclusive as I thought. The youth classes started subtly saying things like, "you cant trick god with a fake religion like Buddhism and expect to be given forgiveness and salvation." And I was like, "uhhhhh...... that doesn't seem kind and just."
That’s really sweet. Everyone can identify with feeling inadequate, even if they are not Baptist.
That made me crack up.
