The Canterlot Castle Gardens are home to some of the most incredible statues in Equestria. They range in subject from great minds of magic such as Starswirl the Bearded to a group of ponies renowned for being the bearers of the Elements of Harmony. Of course, every rose has its thorn, and this garden’s most deadly thorn was the stone prison of Discord, a powerful being whose chaotically twisted sense of humor was matched in unusualness by his equally chaotic form, a mix-match of different races. Discord was a terrifyingly sinister tyrant feared and despised by all. All, that is, except a similarly socially outcast soul, Princess Luna.

Spoiler right away the quiet obvious? May you call it 'Breaking the curse. Again.' or 'Another power of friendship'.
-> Discord becomes free by Lunas efforts, Lunas friendship, his feelings, duh!
But maybe you don't wanna spoil anything by the chapter-name. 'Heart beats' (a bit kitschy, if you ask me).
-> One point of this is his raising love, of course. The other is Discords heart itself, which can beat again after becoming petrified for a while.
Another kitchy title would be 'Melting stone'. Okay, that's too kitchy.
Or choose the life of a thief. Let's steal the title 'Happiness Loves Company' by the famous band RHCP!
-> Luna, happiness, love, company, Discord, moar friends..wee!

I enjoyed the little details in this chapter like Luna being allergic to bananas, getting crappy birthday gifts, and her hobbies. I enjoyed Discord tearing into Celestia. You don't see much Luna shipping that isn't with Twilight, a random guard or Celestia or any combination of the three. Discord is too often paired with Pinkie or Celestia.
I think the only issue with this pairing is that it doesn't have a good sounding ship name: Duna
or Discuna 
or Lunacord 
or Liscord (Okay this one sounds alright.)

And you're right, it could take some effort to find a really good ship name for this pair.
Personally I am a huge fan of LunaCord so this story easily tickles my fancy, and it really doesn't disappoint! Also, I adore that Discord got to stick it to Celestia like that, twas simply amazing! GO DISCORD, bring forth the chaotic romance!

Okay, that doesn't work. So here's my comment:
I have to admit, that I didn't had many collisions with that shipping, yet. And when I did, it was only a sidekick from a escapade. You know, like DiscordxCelestia, adding some betrayal by giving DiscordxLuna a shot. But seeing DiscordxLuna in the main-role is something that's rather new. And rather new is always good! It's even better, if it's done good. Just as in this case. Wee!
The pairing deserves this. Since they are both pariahs somehow, the matching is quiet believable. They don't only have a violent history, but also both aren't the greatest socialers (if that's not a word, I mean by that both aren't really used to social rules and stuff.). For me, the second point is the biggest reason why this has the great potential it has. They both don't follow the common ways of interacting, and so this could easily escalate here and there, forming a really intense relationship, fluctuating between 'melting hot' and 'icy'. Also, if that's only the start, then Celestia is really fucked. Luna's 'd'aww'-ing skills are too damn high, and Discord's ability to hit critical spots with his words could become really terrifying in some ways.

I can't help but feel completely torn about these two chapters thus far. If you recall, I'm the last one to beg for a sequel before you agreed. So far, while I've liked moments, I feel Discord has been a little too.... submissive? Not sure what the right word is. Maybe I just don't like thinking of Discord as nervous or weak, and that may be the reason i feel torn on the sequel so far.
Him leaving on this hands upside-down for no reason, bam! That made me smile. Discord's 'modest' list of his qualities had me in stitches. Also, I loved your ABC list of discord's guttural expulsions, but you forgot 'Y'. Or perhaps you're saving that Y word for later.
That being said; I do look forward to Discord's idea of romance: a lovely bouquet of poison joke, with a candle lit dinner where the candles melt from the bottom up, and a dessert of pineapple upside-down cake turned right-side up. Oh the possibilities!
Anyway, while not favorited yet like your last story, I'm definitely track this, and give it a like. I look forward to see how it progresses. Also, thanks for going through with the sequel.
