heavily inspired by the scp wiki page and concept for SCP-3999. i've always enjoyed the story and thought the format-breaking on the page was a fun way to tell it. consider this an homage.

thankyou, both for the comment and the kind words!!! that makes me very happy to hear. one of my biggest worries was that i would accidentally adhere too strongly to the original story, or i wouldn't capture the spirit enough to make the appeal of the fic work. i'm glad to hear i found the happy middleground for both!!
