The last decade in Equestria has been marked by a lack of sunlight, and an overabundance of tyranny. But today, 10 years after it disappeared, the Sun returns. Praise the Sun.

This was my submission for the Quills & Sofas "Two Halves" contest that was held in the Q&S Discord server. Decided it was worth some minor polishing and publishing.

Grief is a funny thing, really. It consumes you until you can't think about anything else. Cadance knows this all too well. But her grief is pushed out of the way when an unexpected visitor shows up, her story changing Cadance's grief forever.

Pinkie's taken on a strange schedule of visiting Twilight once a week and giving her a kiss on the cheek. Twilight, being as romantically inept as she is, has no idea what this means.
