And Maud Pie is awesome! She's like a ponyfied Rei Ayanami or Mikasa Ackerman. And she's canon! No matter what tbe episode is like (I think it will be good) I'm putting her into Comes the Sunset as a ninja badass purely on the strength of that voice.

On a more serious note, I'll be a bit disappointed if she's not in it (The Albinocorn has made me into a Sunset Shimmer fan and I don't know whether to curse or bless him for it). I'm holding out hope that she is the original front of the band before getting taken out by the dastardly competition, necessitating a switch up with human Twilight.

When I started writing Comes the Sunset, I wanted it to be a step up in quality from Vengeance of Dawn. To be honest, and expose my own ego for a moment, I wanted it to be the Empire Strikes Back to Vengeance's A New Hope.

It's been three and a bit years since I left university. It's been seven years since I left school. I've been working for three years and change. And in all that time I have never experience such a feeling of 'School's Out!' as I do today, with Year End closed and me having a two week break ahead of me.

The fact that this is a two week break that includes Christmas and my birthday is only adding to the childish giddiness I'm feeling right now.

We've got hearts, as strong as horses...sorry, that's my new ear worm for the next fortnight.

Last week I didn't blog my thoughts on the episode because...it didn't do much for me. This one though, was a perfect blend of the early, faust-influenced style of season 1 with the more knowing aspects of the later seasons.

Five episodes is a bit too long to wait for the first song, but I'm glad that it was worth the wait. We've got hearts, as strong as...aargh, stop that!
