So, The Princess of Books hit 1000 up-votes this evening, a month to the day after posting the first chapter. So, before I say anything else, let me say thank you to all of you who read The Princess of Books and let me know what you thought about it, whether by favorites, upvotes, or comments. I really appreciate every bit of feedback you folks give me.
Second, in case you weren't following the comment thread, I want to belatedly point y'all at this comment by MrNumbers, a brief story snippet taking off from the ending of the epilogue, which I found to be quite amusing and I think you'll enjoy also.
While it is hard to compare a multi-chapter release directly to a oneshot, by most objective measures, this story was even more successful than the already absurdly successful Unepic Pony War. (About the only metric it is behind pace on is the number of groups it has been added to.) For a story that went through a fairly tortured writing process and that I wound up racing to finish in order to get it out before Season Four invalidated it - which I fear shows in Chapter Three to some extent, it's a much better reception than I was fearing it would receive.
So thank you all again, including whoever just gave the story upvote 1001! I hope you all will keep an eye out for whichever story manages to break out of my head and onto this site next. I'll probably post another blog entry this weekend teasing what story concepts I'm currently working on. (And maybe this time my next story will actually be on the list!)

Congratulations on 1000 upvotes! I have yet to hit it with anything, but I'm looking forward to getting there. I didn't even see this thing get posted; I'm going to have to read it sometime now.

I was really hoping you and mrnumbers would have collaborated on a sequel using that snipet he wrote. It would be a great story to hear it would just be plain funny.

That epilogue epilogue is pretty fantastic. Does the tithe come on top of the taxes already paid, or is it instead of them?
