What I've Been Up To, Mark Two

As promised, this is a brief listing of various story ideas I am toying with at the moment. A few disclaimers seem necessary: first, all of these are just ideas and may never become stories; second, those of you who remember the last time I did this may also remember that The Princess of Books wasn't even on the list, so the predictive power of this list is doubly suspect; third, it's pretty unlikely that I'll get any substantive work done on anything until the new year.

That said, in no particular order:

* Too Many Apples, a oneshot on how Applebuck Season goes in an AU where the Mane Six naturally have the "swapped" cutie marks from Magical Mystery Cure. (Scrambled Destiny, the story from the previous list in the same AU dealing with the return of Nightmare Moon, is on the backburner because, while I had a twist planned so it would be a little more interesting than yet another retelling of the first two episodes with tiny differences, that twist was so huge that it basically swallowed the story and drowned out the original premise.)
* The Ascension of Mi Amore Cadenza, a multi-part adventure that is about exactly what the title says and is my attempt fill in the holes in the pinkest princess's backstory, is basically in dire need of my focusing for a few hours and nailing down the outline, the supporting cast, and just what Prismia's deal is.
* Pink Moon Rising, a oneshot set a couple years prior to canon, in which young Cadance tries to take over moon-duties and earns herself a chat with Nightmare Moon. This one is an idea that came to me just today, and is possibly the least developed one on the list and very likely to disappear without ever being mentioned again.
* Magic Kindergarten Teacher (Princess Twilight teaches Magic Kindergarten) and Premature Ascension (Twilight grows wings when she gets her cutie mark) are both cool ideas waiting for me to come up with a story to use them.
* The Princess of Ponyville is at this point a working title for a vague collection of half-formed ideas for a sequel to The Princess of Books, which will basically go nowhere until I actually come up with what the story will be about. I historically have bad luck with sequels, and as might be inferred by the absence of A Semi-Epic Pony Regency from this list, I would not advise getting your hopes up.

And there are also a few ideas for snippets to submit to MLP Time Loops percolating in the background. Which does remind me: I made a blog post about the first snippet of mine that was posted as part of that story, but I haven't mentioned the ones I've done since. So, here's a quick listing.
* 24.4, the previously mentioned snippet where I got an unworkable fanfic idea out of my head
* 25.2, a quick sequel to that snippet.
* 29.6, in which Twilight Sparkle tries to earn a different cutie mark.
* 31.1, a sequel to Masterweaver's 28.5, which was in turn a sequel to 24.4, and in which Twilight gets some closure over some unresolved issues from the original snippet.
* 40.2, a Sailor Moon crossover starring Princess Luna.

The ones that pique my interest are The Princess of Ponyville, Pink Moon Rising, and Magic Kindergarten Teacher, in that order. (Not that my preference should hold any influence. The best writing comes from writers who are having fun writing.) Given your past work as a guide, I'm sure whatever you decide on will be a fun read.

I have one of these half done myself, though in my case it's about Twilight having lied to everyone until she screws up at the end of Magical Mystery Cure. I haven't worked on it in ages though; I'd wanted to finish it before season four, but it completely slipped my mind

Well, I was planning to make a joke about forcing you to churn out more chapters of "Sharing The Night" instead, but that tiny snippet is hilarious and I would like to read more.

"Premature Ascension" is still super-vague, but probably won't be going in that direction; I've a vague idea of the end of the story being Princess Twilight Sparkle arriving in Ponyville to oversee the Summer Sun Celebration.

Premature ascencion sounds interesting, although I could see there being problems writing it beyond just looking at the immediate aftermath.
