Yes, I'm still alive and writing. After many years working for a big multinational corporation I finally have a new job... with another big multinational corporation. The plus side is we're living much closer to our extended family, the downside is that the house we moved out of still hasn't sold. Anybody out there looking for a four bedroom house in AZ? Until we sell it there's no chance of buying a new house; even affording rent in our new area is a tremendous stretch when we're still dealing with a mortgage.
Anyway, that's my life at the moment; many people are much worse off and I'm very thankful that things are going as well as they are for my family.
I'm working on another short story in my limited spare time. It's a sequel to Disparity. I have no timeline for when it will be finished. After that I'm hoping to tackle a longer project, a story that I've been wanting to write since I first started on fan fiction. When I first came up with the idea I decided to hold off so I could get a better idea of how to write the mane six, particularly Rarity and Pinkie. A String Wedding was a my first taste of working with those two.
I still have plenty to learn, but I think I'm finally in a place where work on this project can begin in earnest.
