Guys, I have an important announcement to make: The man I love just proposed to me last night.
I, of course, said “YES!” while trying to hold back the tears.
I met him here on Fimfiction. He was one of the many familiar faces I saw in the comment section of my anthropology forum posts, particularly the ones in the Humans Aren’t Bastards group. I always liked his insights, his sense of humor, his positive attitude. One day, we moved from talking publically about myth creation on my blog to talking about the same thing in private messages. That’s when I found out he had a crush on me. I have to admit, I’d been liking him from afar up until that point, so I took up his offer to flirt and get to know each other better.
The more I learned, the harder I liked him back. Soon “like” was an inappropriately weak word.
I’m not sure if you guys know this, but I’m a very shy person. I spent a couple of months hanging around this website before I worked up the nerve to create an account so I could post comments. Over the last year, talking to you guys on the forums helped break me out of my shell.
I’m more than just happy that I have him. I’m happy that I have all of you as well.
I would not have had the balls to say “hi” to him if it hadn’t been for awesome people like you guys.

I clicked on an MLP video as a passing whim. I created a FimFiction account because I wanted to leave exactly 1 comment on a chapter a, but I started making forum posts because I periodically felt the need to whore out for attention a little- these are the posts that got him to like me. And I chose to flirt with him despite how half of my brain was screaming "This Is Fucking Scary."
Any one of those things could have broken the chain of events that let us find each other.

2384652 Actually, no we don't. We're separated by 2 timezones. But we talk to each other about 4 or 5 hours at a time on the phone, and we're private messaging each other for 4 or 5 hours a day every day.
Don't worry. It's not too personal of a question. I just joked with 3 other people in this very comment section about... I can't remember, Godless anal sex over the ashen glow of the fallen Christian empire or something. I haven't bothered to scroll downwards yet.
