Where I was the last week

Yeah, so I was pretty much offline for a solid week, not much fic progress either.

I was away for work unfortunately, and due to the nature of my job I don't really have access to the internet and electricity when I'm out. I mean, pics below are my daily work commute.

So, to start with, Happy New Years and all that.

Hope you all had a good Christmas and everything, I spent mine down in one of the capitol cities visiting friends. While there, I managed to get Lorenzo something hilarious...

    Updates and Other Tidbits

    Happy New Year

    First on the list:

I'm currently working on the next chapter for 'I Come From a Land Down Under', and am making decent progress. It's a bit of a difficult one and Christmas and all that. Still, pace is good, so hopefully it won't be too long away.

    Secondly:

Spoilers for the Season Six Finale - Fic Incoming

    Hi all,

Just a quick update letting you know (warning?) that I've spent the last six hours writing a short little first chapter (9000 words is short) of a Chrysalis versus Thorax fic that hopefully will be posted soon through the approval system.

Right, so I had to go on a business trip for work to lovely, lovely Tennant Creek (pictured) and as such I had n reliable internet for three days. I got about two minutes yesterday on the phone, but that soon died.

I was greeted upon return by over a hundred notifications, and four pm's complaining about issue with a group I admin for.

Oh, and one that was simply "Wane r u going to update ur fics"

So, as requested, an estimation.

As some may have noticed, there is now a little box underneath my Nazi power rangers gif that lists a word count. That's a fairly accurate indication of how done I am with a chapter. Normally, you can expect that to be around 8,000-10,000 words, but since this chapter of Revenge has a lot in it, it's going to be a little longer.

I've got 11,002 words done on it so far, and I'm hoping for it to finish around 14,000 on Thursday or Friday so I can edit and post it. I've just driven 500km pretty much non-stop to get back home, so i'm not really in the mood to write tonight.

Anyway, after Revenge will be a chapter of Divine Salvation, so I am still working on stuff.

(As promised, a photo of the utterly majestic town of Tennant Creek.)

Sounds like you had fun...

It was shit. Every building in town has security bars, the only stores open after six were the ten bottleshops, my hotel aircon was noisy, on the second night a bunch of fucktard teenage American tourists had the four rooms across from mine and they blasted shitty rap music until eleven while drinking, my icecream dripped in the car ride home, and I can't take the day off tomorrow.

So yes, it was a rather fun trip.

2737451 ouch. At least you had a bed to sleep XD Don't worry about me bugging you when I head over this summer. Not old enough to drink XD Rap music I will never understand, can't hear what they are saying most of the time anyway. Don't push yourself too hard with writing, take some relaxation time after work.

... Your name is Wane?

Tennant Creek looks quite nice from the air.

I Once slept in a warehouse there.

Goodluck...whenever you need it.

2737451 Damn, can't say I've been on a business trip that's gone that bad, and I usually try not to harass authors for updates. Golden rule and all that. That being said I feel your pain with the idiots across the way. Had one that lived next to me on Ft. Meade while I was in the army. I worked rotating shifts, and this genius was blasting music all night, all weekend. The problem with this? Sometimes I worked weekends, something he didn't seem to get, no matter how often I pounded on his door telling him to 'turn that shit down'. Fuck those people, do they really need to blast music that loud, or are they deaf? My TV would vibrate.

But are you too young to drink in Australia?

2737512

No, I think it was supposed to be 'When'.

2737976 Doesn't matter. The program doesn't permit it. Its not a big deal. It's not like I drink anyway XD

You think that's bad try driving cross-country... In the U.S.

2738405 then I won't get to call you Batman... Damn.
