Don't think too hard about "hotter than the business end of a corn cob".

No screencaps this time. Though there would be no lack of good ones, wouldn't there? I feel like I only did a big screencap blog yesterday. Oh, wait. If you're disappointed by this decision, feel free to dig through my old blogs. Plenty of stuff there no one ever saw.

But dear sweet Celestia, this episode. First of all, I am so happy they did a Big Mac episode. He's needed one for a long time. I hope this means he's becoming a legitimate character instead of a piece of scenery or a plot device. One can only hope.

And then the wig came out.

For any of you who are new here, I'm currently college roommates with the one-and-only Ponky, which is pretty cool once you learn how to gag down the fanboy squeals. He faded out of the fimfic scene a few months ago after being away from it for two years for life-y reasons, and now he's so busy he doesn't really get to make time to keep up with canon updates.

I've kept him updated on the happenings, but as far as I know he still hasn't seen any of the S5 Part II episodes yet. In fact, he wasn't even entirely sure there had been a second EQG, let alone a third.

This is the episode I'm going to make him sit down and watch. I'm so happy with this season. It's like back in Season 3, when big things were suddenly happening all over the place and we weren't prepared for it. Big Mac gets his day, we hear him not only talk as much or more than any other character, but in a funny voice the whole time, plus singing. We finally get to see some more of that Rainbow Dash/Scootaloo sisterly bond we were promised two seasons ago (give or take), and Big Mac finally gets to be his own character. With depth.

I shudder to think what the flash-ficcers and BraeMac people will do with that dress, though. Yeee.

I totally called the next episode being about the Sisterhooves Social, by the way. Forgot to mention it in the blog. Of course, it would've been pretty obvious for anyone who keeps track of the upcoming episode details ahead of time, but I'm not one of them. I try pretty hard to avoid things like that until the actual releases, when I can.
