So i finally realized on of the most obvious oversights on Fimfiction.
I finally managed to realize that even though Pinkie is the Element of Laughter, we don't have a emoticon for her laughing! We have a bunch of emoticons for different things, and some of them are just different levels of a single action/emotion. How is it that we only have one laughter emoticon, and it's of Rainbow Dash busting a gut? There are a ton of different types of laughs ranging from simple chuckles and giggles to accidentally aphyxiating ourselves in a bout of uncontrollable laughter (
). All too often i find myself not using the laughter emoticon because the image doesn't properly depict how funny i thought something was.
So random people who have decided to follow me; what are your thoughts on this oversight? Why do we not have a laughing pinkie, yet we have a strait faced one? (It claims to be a smile, but i have rarely ever seen pinkie with a smile that small!)
We also lack a discord emoticon, despite him being a fan favorite. Oh, and a smug Diamond Tiara would be a great one too!
Do you think we should have a Pinkiegiggle emoticon? What sort of Emoticons would you like to see? Lets see what my few followers think, should they even see this and care.
I don't really use emoticons here all that much, so... eh.
Probably because the site is currently upgrading other things, but you can let them know this and maybe, once they can put aside the fixes and upgrades, they can get down to designing.
Also, in my opinion, laughing pinkie pie is just something we're so used to see, that her laughing emoticon would be only worthy for a giggle or a forced giggle (this forced giggle is in quote, because pinkie is easily amused... so more like a sign that we understand the joke, laugh at it, but not gonna burst out laughing, is how the emoticon would feel to me). Thus, the rainbow one, while she is seen laughing more than the others (besides pinkie), her voice in the show is what makes her laughing image show how funny the thing we are laughing at is.
Honestly? I’m just going to spam the emotes outside of fimfic, so I don’t really care.
