Short and Bitter. Like my hospital stay.

Originally, I was going to write a long dialogue rife with jokes and well-placed puns to explain what has been going on, but I'm pressed for time. So I'll keep this short.

Early in March, I was hit by a car while I was on my bike.

    Fallout 4 kills NaNoWriMo

A few of you may be aware that November is "National Novel Writing Month", in which aspiring writers practice writing quickly by writing 50,000 words in one month. I won't lie, I tried to do this, and failed miserably. The combination of exams and upcoming Fo4 has dug (and will dig) a lot of time out of writing.

Deadpool, images, and a difficult choice · 9:08pm Feb 15th, 2016

Sorry to hijack my own update on the story, but Deadpool has made himself known. I won't say too much, but for those of you who don't know, this is Deadpool:

I think this describes Deadpool very accurately, minus the blood, gore, and general psychopathy.

I went into the movie theater, expecting a pretty bad movie, but one that I would still laugh at. However, my words alone can't do it justice, so I suggest those who aren't afraid of the line being crossed so far that it might as well be a horizon go ahead and watch it. It takes a bunch of superhero movie tropes and completely turns it on its head. Interesting things include: an actual anti-hero, a screwed-up relationship that works wonderfully, realistic 'friends', vicious action sequences, and a general lack of pity for anybody/anything. And 4th wall breaking. Quality entertainment for the crazier fans of Marvel.

Now, a small pre-scriptum. I am aware of the errors that occur in the images when there's an imgur link. I'm trying to find an easy to use, hassle-free image host to keep the images that will make it simple for everyone involved. Photobucket seems like a good idea, but it seems slow to me. If any of you have got suggestions for good sites, go ahead and lay them on me.

Now for the real meat of the matter. I'm going to be completely honest with you guys from here, and give a few facts that some of you may not know yet. Improbable Truth is not the first story I've ever started writing, nor is it the longest I've ever written. There was one story that I wrote when I was younger than ended up filling just over 400 composition notebook pages, even with my small handwriting. The problem was that I came up with another story and stopped for a while before re-reading it. Here's where the problems occurred. When I started re-reading, I realized how many flaws there were, and I couldn't let them be. So I changed them. And then I looked at my other stories and realized their starts were pretty crappy, too. And so, I was stuck in this infinite cycle of changing the starts of the stories without ever finishing them. And one day, I just...stopped for a moment to think about how I wanted the story to end, but the beginning was clashed viciously with the middle and the end. The story, in my attempts to improve it, had lost itself.

Needless to say, before that day, I didn't know how to make a proper firepit. Now I know.

But here, Improbable Truth is out there already. I put it out here, and I can't take it back. You guys have already read the start, and I already know how it's going to end. Yes, a few of you may be surprised to realize this, but there is a plan. However, every now and then, I go back and read...and I get rage-induced migraines. I want to change it, but it wouldn't be fair to you guys. Some of you have already witnessed this when I moved a lot of the flashbacks into an extra. Flashbacks I originally came up with as some stupid allusion to the levels of hell. And even if I removed them from the chapters, I couldn't delete them.

Because when I first started writing here, I promised myself I would never change chapters drastically once they've been published.

So that should quell your doubts about reading some patchwork quilt of a story.

Truthfully, while this isn't the first story I've ever written, or even the longest, it's the first anyone other than me has ever seen, and the first story I intend to finish. I will finish this story, no matter what. So no matter how much I hate some parts of my earlier chapters--even to such an extent that my eyes turn red and my hair starts to fizzle in rage at my stupidity-- no matter how much I want to rewrite them, I will not change the story until I've finished completely. I'm not under the delusion that my writing is some sort of masterpiece. No, this is an experiment, in more ways than most of you know. Because no matter how repulsed I am from earlier chapters, I can't help but feel happy that I've grown as a writer to see that. And I'm happy all of you are helping me grow, become the best me I can possibly be.

So to all of you, newer followers or ones who've been here since the start: Thank you.

Thank you for sitting through my pitiful attempts to pull at your heartstrings.

Thank you for accepting my story from its mediocre beginnings to its almost average present.

Thank you for finding the time to comment, to laugh at my ridiculous humor, to make me smile by saying my story made you smile.

And above all, thank you for correcting me when I make mistakes, telling me where I went wrong, and generally help me become better.

Cheers,

whats with the colored letters?

Here is a list I saw posted a few days ago

Imgur sucks, so here are some other places were you can host your images just to spite them.

1. SliMG: This site blatantly rips of Imgur which I find hilarious. Much like Imgur, you can host an unlimited amount of pictures and GIFs. But unlike Imgur, they won't block your images just because they are on another site.

2. Postimage: A site that allows you to upload and store as many pictures as you want. You can register to keep track of your images but you can also upload images without making an account.

3. imgbox: A site that allows you to upload an unlimited amount of images and GIFs. It has a nice layout and is extremely easy to use.

4. Picasa: This is Google's attempt to make an image hosting site. It isn't as sleek or straightforward as other image hosting services, but it does allow you to upload as many images and GIFs as you want.

5. TinyPic: This is a site where you can upload pictures, videos, and GIFs. It is fairly easy to use and you can also interact with other members of the community, similar to Imgur.

6. Photobucket: A site where you can upload and store pictures and GIFs. The one drawback to this site is that you have a limited amount of storage. In order to get more space, you have to purchase a storage plan. But the starting  storage isn't too bad. This is a good site to host backup images for this reason.

7. Gyazo: This is another site where you can host images and GIFs. It has a setup similar to Picasa where you download the uploader onto your computer. The drawback to this site is that you have to pay to unlock additional site features and storage. This is a good solution for people who need storage for their websites but maybe not the best option for a casual internet user.

8. imgh.us: A site where you can download an unlimited amount of GIFs and images. It doesn't have the best site design or setup but it is still a good free options for free image and GIF storing.

9. Google Photos: This is Google's attempt to not be Picasa. And also to blatantly rip off Facebook's image storing system. In any case, it is another free place where you can store an unlimted amount of images and Gifs.

10. Fractyl: A site where you can upload music, videos, pictures, and Gifs. This is probably the best alternative to Imgur that I have found. It mimics the Imgur setup and gives users more options for uploading and sharing their content.

11. puush: A neat little site where you can upload screenshots straight from the internet. You can store an unlimited amount of images and Gifs here.

12. Pearltrees: A site where you can host your web pages, files, notes, images and GIFs for free. There is a good amount of storage available for casual users and you can upload your various files for free. You can upgrade to different account types for more storage and better editing tools.

13. Imgur: Yeah, Imgur sucks, but it still has good editing tools. So here is what you do; use Imgur to edit your photos or to convert urls into images. Then, host the images on another site. It's the ultimate way of giving them the snub!

3756745 Colored letters? Do I seem like the type of person that would sneakily hide a code in a blog? Using a myriad of colors ranging from bright and obvious, to subtle, off-black grays and browns?

3756845 Thanks, I'll be trying these out.

3756892 If for some reason hypothetically speaking you somehow unconsciously, did do a secret code with a myriad of colors how would you break the code? :pinkiecrazy:

-Techy

3756892

*Hits hard with a pillow* Yes!

3757036 Well, hypothetically speaking, the encoder gets some sort of joy from people finding it out on their own...
Buuuuut....

If I were you, I'd find every single colored letter, even the ones that are very close to black. Using a word program by copy-pasting and highlighting should help. Even then, if it doesn't make sense, I'd look into different codes...if a number is hinted at, I'd use a Caesar cipher decoder. If there seems to be an entire word that sticks out for one reason or another, I'd use it as a key for the cipher.

Maybe something that is not part of one's usual blog format?

3757076 Frankly sir, I can't believe one such as yourself would find me to be sneaky, intelligent, and evasive enough to pool a wool over your eyes.

3757093

Found all the letters, but I don't know you well enough to be able to go further

voaayvczbnsijvwrasfijvbfkpwfwabzgd

3758207 There may be a few missing.
Also, most of my blogs/comments on my own story end the same way. Maybe if one were to highlight around...
