Displaced Soul- back in action · 4:44pm Feb 25th, 2016
Okay so like I've been making promises forever to continue writing Displaced Soul but I'm sorta lazy and personal life happened so... that hasn't happened yet.
But fear not!
Unbeknownst to all of you, I have gone back and polished the previous chapters. I don't think anything has drastically changed, but I won't stop you from going back and rereading it. It is a little more pleasant on the eyes. Some stuff really needed cleaning up.
My next steps are:
1. Give the whole story one more re-read, making any final edits.
2. Change the cover art.
This is the most important part, in my opinion. The current cover art is "eh" at best and hideous at worst. The minimalist style is unpolished, and that ugly green color for the background...ughhhh.
I'm....hesitant to make my own art again. I've got a huuuuuge art project I've been working on as a gift for my dad. I'm not even finished with the lineart and I already want to bash my head into a wall every time I finish a working session. You can probably see where I'm going with this-
Is anyone willing to make cover art for me?
I don't really expect anyone to respond... but if you do, I would like it to be...somewhat respectable. Aka, please show me some of your work and don't be offended if I politely decline.
If someone offers me a good enough deal, I might be willing to shell out a little cash for this, but I am only a high school student whose part-time job applications are inexplicably not being responded to. (Really, McDonalds? YOU'RE HIRING! I don't have a criminal record or anything! What is the issue?!) Thus, please cut me a little slack? :)
Finally, step 3:
3. Continue writing!
Chapter 5 has been written a little already, so all I gotta do is pick up where I left off.
So those are my plans. Questions, comments, concerns, or cover art offers? Leave a comment below! Thanks for all of your patience!
