One thing we still haven't heard much at all about yet even after six seasons and multiple comics, are the origins of Discord. His history is as mysterious as his mental processes.
On the 18th of this month, a giant episode length Discord origins animation will be releasing from the team corralled up by ILoveKimPossibleAlot. Check out the trailer for it over here! We've decided to hype it up a bit and team up by running a contest for the next five days while waiting for it to release.
All you need to do is either draw an image of your take on the origins of Discord, or write a fanfic about it. It can be anything you want, from BORN OUT OF A DYING STAR to grown from a moldy donut. It's entirely up to you. Be creative!
You could win these little cuties!
General Rules:
Must be new, you cannot submit an old creation
Keep it clean, no explicit clop or heavy gore
2 submissions per person max. Mix it up if you want to be super creative!
There won't be a deadline extension for this one, so be sure to get your submission in quick.
Unfortunately due to shipping restrictions, the reward will only be available for USA or Canada. You are free to submit anyway outside those countries though!
Deadline is July 19th at 11:59 PM PST

1000 word minimum
Writing skills not required, but welcome! Do as well as you can.

I'm thinking of writing a story, but I've only done two discord stories and neither have been uploaded here...

Well, I could always repurpose my reformatted Artificial Draconequus story inspired by Voids of Thought. Don't know if I can cough up a coherent storyline within 1K words 2 days,
Long story short, the Voids fic was basically Twilight testing some sort of merger spell, and accidentally fused herself and RD together, and had a mini mental breakdown while they tried to not eat each other's personality.
My original plan was some researcher trying to perfect said spell, and ended up accidentally mixing chaos with it, so for a limited amount of time, they could fuse, yet remain distinct (though due to a bit of desperation mixed it, it was imperfect, and minds were still fraying).
I guess I could modify it by having some group of wizards trying to create some sort of Omnitrix spell, and ended up glitching out. I dunno. Wouldn't explain the god-tier power levels.

You should try it! See what you can make. Just make sure the new story is significantly different from the original concept, which considering Discord, will most likely have to be. Just freewrite like crazy! See what comes out. He is the god of chaos after all. :)
