This one was a rather cute story that makes you really vote for Scootaloo to be able to fly! It is short as well, but an enjoyable read.

This is a horror story, but it packs a punch. I was crying at one point, and it left me thinking about what had happened. Also a short read.
Octy's Eggs - by Cinder Vel
This is a comedy about well... Octavia's eggs. I don't quite remember it all that well, but it is by Cinder -- so it is a good read (you didn't hear that from me). Also a short read.
Why I Wear This Jacket - by GaraTheAuthor
This works well with the phrase, "Don't judge a book by its cover." as this delivers just that. A short read, but a fun one.
An Attempt To Save A Friend - by Anstca
If you can get past all the grammatical errors, then there is a beautiful story hiding in there. Very short, and Anstca is still new to the writing scene; hopefully the next story comes out eventually.
Princess Cadance Goes on a Shipping Spree - by Dandershy
It is exactly as the title says, Cadance going on a shipping spree. It includes many hijinks, and includes the after effect (by what I can remember).
'I am Octavia' Aftermath - by Watchpaw
This one is very well written, and based after a song! I particularly liked it.
Confession and Proposal - by Exelion
This was a really sweet read. I remember it well enough, even though I read it several months ago (about eight months). Also a short read.
An Ophidian Encounter - by BladeWolf
This one features a mythical creature, and an explorer. It was quite well written.
Don't Forget Me - by kalash93
This was a short story with a mighty impact. I highly suggest giving it a read.

Give it a read! Er... this story is great! No, um... I might have a hard time with this. But I highly, highly suggest checking this author out. She is very good at telling stories.
Equestia At Six - by Enigmatic Otaku
This is a comedy, and while I only listened to the YouTube reading of it -- it was still funny, and did its job.
When I'm Gone - by Cloud Hop
This story... such a strong impact. I was in tears by the end, I believe I had to stop at several points. It is a very good story (and the start of my liking of the Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle shipping).
The Last Day of Christmas - by Deathscar
This is festive. Anyway, this is another emotional story that does well with what it does.
Your Money or Your Life - by Gulheru
This is one of the best comedies I've read here on the site! I broke out coughing several times (which happens when I start laughing for a little too long or just frequently). A very good read!
Simply Rarity - by Somber
Simply Rarity... a very good read. It is well liked, and for a reason. Not only is it written well, it also has all the right notes. I highly suggest giving this a read.
Some of my favorites:
- Eakin's Hard Reset (Twilight in a time loop)
- Luna-tic's Days of Wasp and Spider (Sci-Fi, ancient alicorns and stuff).
Both moderately dark, but no more so than Austraeoh.
- Chengar's Life and Times of a Winning Pony
- My favorite HiE story, Hoopy's Project Sunflower.
- For light Slice of Life, there's Biscuit's Silver Glow's Journal.
- And of course Skirts' The Things Tavi Says.
- Some nice Twiluna: Twilight, Good Night and The Mare Who Once Lived On The Moon (in the latter case with awesome steampunk goodness)
- Sunset Shimmer POV, with some SunLight: A New Sun Rises
