How Many Times Does Trixie Actually Say "I"?

One of Trixie's best-known traits in the fandom is that she speaks in the third person all the time. But does she really? Turns out, no one has ever counted the times she says "I." Until now...

Reference/Inspiration List for "Where Black Seas Lap the Shores of Dead Stars"

Rather than litter the author's notes with references in my usual style, I thought I'd try something a little different. So, for the curious, I've made a separate blog post of all the references and allusions you might have missed!

Hat Man Reviews: "Haze" by Bandy!

Haze is a story that is filled with big ideas: Cloud empires. Flying earth ponies. Ancient religions. Superpower-inducing fungi. Unfortunately, much like the mushroom-munching ponies in this story, this story might be biting off more than it can handle…

An interview with Turing Test! (But it's actually with ME!) · 2:06am Feb 6th, 2021

Fellow author Nailah interviews fellow authors through character roleplay. This time she interviewed me, roleplaying as Turing Test! (Details below!)

Nailah and I are both members of the same speedwriting group, and she asked me a while back if I could do an interview with her. Since she does her interviews as one of her OCs interviewing another (or occasionally with canon characters), we thought it best I roleplay as Turing. In this case, she's RPing as her OC, Snow Heart.

It was a lot of fun, though I wasn’t entirely sure how much I should answer as myself and how much I should let Turing Test answer on her own without too much immersion breaking. We sort of worked it out, though.

If you’d like to learn a bit more about me or just watch Turing Test deal with a strange “baticorn” OC appearing in the lab behind her house, go check it out at the link above!

(Note: It seems there was a bit of confusion in the formatting, as Turing does not speak in her usual italics, but that probably bugs no one else but me. Also, the current headline image of Turing is the lovely piece of fanart drawn by Zaponator, which I hope they don’t mind.)

Well that was quite a joy to read. I only discovered Turing Test rather recently, and it was a pleasure to read something new involving her.

Dare I hope there might be more Turing works on the horizon?

Oh, that's a safe bet. :raritywink:

Yay! I'd definitely love to see more of Turing Test...and especially a few jokes getting payoff (like, for example, "And Changelings might turn pastel" :P)

Really curious about what you have planned next!

Ah, nice; glad you had a good time there. :)
