Holy crap.
Where to start?
A year ago, I joined fimfic because I saw Scribbler post a link. Loved the look of the website, and read almost two million words on my first day. (Yes, I didn't sleep that night.)
Then a day later, I decided to get my own account, on the 9th of June. A month later, I wrote what originally was meant to be a shitpost(yes, you heard me, The Alicorn Warrior was meant to be a shitpost.)
On July 12th, history was made. (For me, at least.) The Alicorn Warrior was posted, and I honestly expected nothing and just went to sleep. Four hours later, my then coauthor pinged me to tell me that I had been featured, and I was flabbergasted.
That day, I watched as my story climbed the featured list, even challenging the legendary Pen Stroke's story, AND beating it too! Within eight hours, I was first on the featured box, with a whopping 120 likes. Yes, I remember the number.
I also remember spending the next few hours discussing the story's future, and what I should do with it. I had just gotten a large boost of popularity with my first story, which was extremely rare!
I decided to do a rewrite, to make The Alicorn Warrior into a proper story. I was genuinely happy to see dozens, if not a few hundred comments flooding my comment section, helping my story or just complimenting it.
Now, here we are, a year later, reaching a thousand likes, a dream many fimfic writers want to achieve. Heck, even I wanted it for a long time.
My journey here on fimfic has been really eventful, and I'm truly grateful to all the friends and acquaintances I've made along the way.
(I'd plug my friends here, but there's just too many 😅)
So, thank you everyone. Thank you for sticking by me, and thank you everyone for enjoying The Alicorn Warrior. If it wasn't for the popularity it got, I would not have been inclined or even wanting to finish the story.
As it is, this is a promise to everyone reading my story.
I will finish The Alicorn Warrior.
I know many of you are worried it will end with a giant "Incomplete", or "Hiatus", or "Cancelled." Here, I will assure everyone. Stick with me, and that beautiful green "Complete" will be stuck onto this story.
This has really been a wild ride. I cannot express how thankful I really am to everyone who's been with me since the start.

Yeah, people worry about that a lot with stories they like. I'm in your position with my story also, with people wondering if it's going to end up incomplete. I keep updating my story description at the bottom with something akin to "[Date] Still working on it!"
