    2023 Year in Review

2023. What a year. I keep getting this feeling... this thought that, "Okay, once I get through this, then I can settle down. I just need to make it to the weekend. I just need to finish this busy end-of-the-month. Once I get through this quarter. Oh, it's 2024 already..? Fuck."

The Last Plushie Pony · 9:23pm Dec 5th, 2021

♫ I am the last plushie pony
left in this consignment store bin.
They bought all the others this morning,
when the Black Friday rush was let in.

Though my mane may be matted and faded,
I was once quite a mare in my day.
Will the child you once were, give me life once again,
and take me home with you today?

Parents that brawled for the toy of the year,
cursed as they tripped over me.
In a yard sale I'm tossed in a box that's marked "free".
A dealer once smuggled some drugs inside me.

A tailor fixed me up for his daughter;
Left me here when she turned seventeen.
Now I am the last plushie pony,
left in this consignment store scene.

Ran through the aisle last evening,
feeling my body break free,
in the mind, and hands of a child,
whose father then here returned me.

And all of these memories they've left here,
are alive inside of me somehow.
Though stitches may bust; decals turn to dust,
my stuffing's still softer than down!

And I am the last plushie pony.
Though I was once quite a mare in my day.
Will the child you once were, give me love once again,
and take me home with you to stay? ♫

Awww, I'd take you home, Pinkie! Nice work!

You need to adopt that plushie Pinkamina.

*snif* I’ve always felt sad when I see a lost or left behind toy. They just want some one to love them again, to feel needed once more. A bit like the Island of Unwanted Toys in the old Christmas movie. But there will always be a place for Pony here with me; because they gave me love and hope when no one wanted me. And helped me find people who appreciated me.

awww a beautiful poem.

Quite the nice poem.

Let me have that pinkie plushie, I wanna give it a good reason to smile!

5614128 I thought I was the only one who thought that way.

Why would you go and make me a sadden this fine morning

Hugs Just remember, we have each other.

Great, now I want to hug a Pinkie, and have no Pinkie to hug! Really thanks, Man!:ajbemused:

But, maybe, just maybe, we can get a "massage" chapter for her instead!
:pinkiegasp::pinkiehappy::pinkiegasp::pinkiehappy::pinkiegasp::pinkiehappy:

stop injecting me feelings!!
I don't want to feel right, but you made me feel things.

Well, this cleared out my sinuses a bit...

(Though, one thing: in your version of the song, I assume you meant "quite" instead of "quiet" in the repeated section?)

:)

Who would ever stop wanting to hug a pony plushie?

What are your thoughts on Toy Stories 3 & 4?

Tis a horrid thing to be forgotten... But all to oft a horror to be remembered.
