ETA Twin Suns: Heart of the Empire and some other stuff + Cover Art

Hey guys,

as I announced last week, the side story will be up soon and I just want to address some things first. As I mentioned, the update schedule will be roughly once per month barring any exceptions (sometimes stuff gets in between things and I do feel like torturing you guys, too :P).

As of right now, I'm thinking of the first Saturday of every month around-ish noon CET (I live in Germany, and no, I don't care if that's not the most optimal time). The first chapter will be up next week around 16:00 to 17:00 CET (or 7 to 8 am PST) as a compromise for everyone living in the US and so on. I'm sorry to anyone living in Asia/Australia, but... I can only do so much trying to fit this in timezone-wise.

Another thing I wanted to bring up was the... 'irregularities'... some might have noticed in the story description I gave to you as a small teaser. I do want to stress this part: this is a side story, not a sequel. The story does not take place in the main timeline of Twin Suns and there are going to be some heavy deviations once it actually catches up to where events begin in Twin Suns.

As some of you might have seen my totally not obvious, maximum sneaky hidden link to a past blog post I made pretty much a year ago, maybe some of you might have even noticed who that pony was that was hugging our main character for this story. The only hint I'm giving is this: that is very much the pony you think it is, but also not. And if you're still puzzling about who that pony could be... maybe some color would help?

Yes, that is the cover art. Yes, that picture was already done and colorized since I made the line art blog all the way back then. And yes, that totally is my background picture on my mobile phone, sue me.

I really look forward to reading your comments on this story, I've put quite a bit of work into the start of it and I'm still working on finishing the 'prologue' part of it. It's been a bit sluggish as of late, but I really want to get to the part where 'Summer' and Co. make their first appearance in this story. On that note, it's already over 200k words long and I'm kinda worried about how much larger it might get with all the things constantly floating around in my head. Stuff I have no idea how to connect properly, but I'm doing my best to get it done right. Although some parts might not be as 'epic' as others, I do hope you guys will enjoy the 'boring' parts, too. This story is going to lean more into world-building than I ever focused on with the original story.

One thing I have to point out, though, is that, much like Twin Suns, this story is going to have some... odd... romance. The only defense I'm going to hide behind like the coward I am is this: changelings, 'nough said. I heavily urge anyone that is going to read this to read the description in full first before whining to me about the weird stuff. Or the multitude of warnings, I suppose.
