Spoiler: All of them.

Someone asked this question in "The Writers' Group," and I thought the question deserves a full answer.

It's not uncommon for Ponyville to be quiet when Twilight wakes up before dawn. But this morning it's too quiet.

Where is everypony?

It's only been a few moons since Spike moved to Ponyville, and the settled zone hasn't quite gotten used to having a dragon around, any more than his sister has become accustomed to managing all the duties of a small town library. So while she sorts out late fee notices, he's expected to work the front desk and speak to patrons. Ponies who don't know how to talk to him. Ponies who seem to be having a hard time even looking at him. So when Twilight finally sends him to collect a book from a truly unresponsive patron, it's almost a relief.

Except that the pony isn't there. Will never be there again.

And just about nopony seems to care if she was ever there at all.

After sacrificing her life for another, Trixie was meant to receive admission into the shining golden fields and silver city of Elysium. Instead, she was waylaid while crossing the river of Oblivion by Rarity Belle, her promised after-life wrenched from her hooves, tossed in front of a pair of unsympathetic gods, and summarily dismissed. Now trapped in the fabled City of the Dead of Tartarus, Trixie will need all her wits and skills to find a way to escape.

Even greater trials await Rarity. Mind fractured by the nature of her death at the hooves of a fallen goddess, and then eroded further by the river's waters, she wages a war within as well as without. To return home she will have to first reforge herself.

Former enemies, they will need to learn reliance on each other to cross the myriad worlds, from Tartarus, to Gaea, and realms between and beyond, in order to return home.

A Myths and Birthrights side story.

After an unfortunate accident renders Rainbow Dash unconscious, she wakes in a strange new world filled with hostile pony-like creatures. Stuck in a booming metropolis with unrecognizable technology and a less-than-welcoming reception from its locals, she is desperate to find a way home.

However, she quickly learns that she has bigger concerns. Unrest spreads amongst the inhabitants of this city like wildfire, and Rainbow Dash finds herself in the midst of a society teetering on the brink of revolution.

When the world is ending, where do you go?
Into Ships, sailing off into space? Hoping some new world will fare better than your last?
Into Vaults, buried deep underground? Waiting in stale air and light for the world to hopefully heal without you?
Into Portals, to new reflections of reality? Praying that alternate people made different mistakes?

When Equestria passed its point of no return, her citizens did as they always had in times of crisis: they herded together in one place.

And then they built a Spire.

Several centuries later, the daily life of your average pony is unrecognizably different...

...and yet, the more things change the more they echo the past.

Written for the 2023 Seerver Fic Exchange for Silent Whisper whose request was for a cyberpunk dystopia.

Fluttershy. Sweet innocent Fluttershy. She’s so pure and kind. There is absolutely nothing wrong with her. Not a droplet of evil within her heart — to depict her otherwise would be character assassination.

And she’s dead.

The chase had been going on for an hour for Apple County Police Officers Spitfire and Soarin, and the chase has ended with them joining King County police officers in setting up a barricade on Highway 18 to stop not only the robbers from Canterlot, but other armed suspects from Linden County.

Hopefully they'll end this without any bloodshed.
