This is simply my version of the forgiving scene from "The Times they are a Changeling". That's pretty much it, hope you enjoy it. Also make sure to give me a review after you read this story. I would really appreciate it. Love you guys.

Ever since finding his place in the Crystal Empire, Thorax had dreamed of changing his people, and following the failed attempt of Chrysalis to once more conquer Equestria, he succeeded beyond his wildest dreams.

After the accidental coup d'etat that changed his kind forever, Thorax finds himself the new prince of the changelings. His new kingdom remains confused about what to do with their now changed lives and are dealing with a whole slew of emotions they never had to worry about before.

Thrust in a position of power and responsibility he neither asked for nor wants, Thorax reaches out to his friends to help him understand what it means to rule a kingdom.

Special thanks go to Carapace and his story The Village Called Respite that inspired me to write this story.

"As the new ruler of the changelings, I look forward to seeing how relationships between our lands improve."

Princess Celestia's parting words were meant well. Thorax was both honored and anxious about accepting his new crown. He'd be a good ruler, a kind ruler... one that the changelings had desperately needed for generations.

And then, he showed up in front of himself, asking who he was.

Pharynx's transformation had changed more than his appearance: he had gained a new appreciation for ponies and the love and friendship they had. So when word of Chrysalis' return reached the hive, no one was surprised to see Pharynx readily agree to lead the hive's army into battle to help save Equestria. After all, ponies were Pharynx's friends now!

And while that was true enough, none of them knew that Pharynx had another reason to do so... a much more important one.

Dear Small Pony Book,

Hello. My name is Thorax. I am a changeling formerly of the Badlands Hive, ruled by the terrible Queen Chrysalis. Nowadays, I am fortunate to call the Crystal Empire home, and their Royal Family my friends.

Since I'm rather new to living in pony society—without orders to infiltrate, of course—my new friends have been doing their very best to help me get acclimated to this strange, alien way of life. To this end, Princess Cadence has instructed me to tell you of my experiences so that we might use this as time to reflect together. However, I do find it strange. How am I to discuss my day to day interactions with a book? Especially one without a name? You can't not have a name, that would just be rude. So, I will just have to figure one out for you.

I'm not sure why Cadence is laughing at that, or why Shining Armor is groaning. This is a very serious issue.

These ponies are strange. But I don't think I'd have them any other way.

A little thing for me to fiddle with when I'm bored. Updates will likely be sporadic. Tagged as a prequel/sequel to The Face I'll Wear because it will explore some of the same themes and will show events before and after the story.

After her friends come to her aid during a time of need, Ocellus undergoes a dramatic transformation. This results in a flurry of new emotions and worries that cause the Student Six to fear that their friendship is in jeopardy.

After hearing about how Neighsay imprisoned the young 6. The leaders of all the other kingdoms are very displeased. So they go to the EEA directly to voice thier displeasure. Things go wrong fast.

Spike tells Twilight the news about Thorax's current condition.

She finds it baffling.

The changelings are content with their recent change, but they're all still working to adjust to the full scope of these changes.

Thorax, however, finds there was one personal change he's somehow overlooked.

Rated Teen for implied subject material...but I was able to avoid discussing it directly so much so that it's probably overkill on my part.
