In the tumultuous times of ancient Equestria, war between the armed races seems imminent... ponies one and all are up in arms against eachother. But the tides begin to turn the day a mysterious alicorn drops from the heavens and changes the fate of Equestria forever.
Will the selfish greed of ponykind tear their world to shreds or can it be saved by a select few chosen by fate, a power stronger than that of all ponykind's forces combined....

*I've been writing this as a webcomic for a year and a half now, while I still do plan to release it in that format, I thought writing it out as a story would help with fleshing out some of the details I've been hung up on*

After overcoming himself, loyal guard and not-so-optimistic Thunderblast must face new challenges when he learns that he is being transferred to the Equestrian Army. Surely if he's a good guard, that means he would make a great soldier, right?

EDIT: I added a short paragraph to "Patriotic Duty" that shows Sweetie Belle giving spare change to a beggar. I had an idea about where to take the story that required the edit. The action itself is unimportant, but what it illustrates will be supremely important to the resolution of the story.

A human and a Klahd find themselves in a world they did not mean go to and have to find their way back or be trapped forever. As a nameless human explores the powers he had learned through anime, games, and some books, growing into the most dangerous villain Equestria has ever seen. The Klahd a middle aged 'man' from a dimension called Klah. A well traveled and battle hardened veteran turned student at P.I.M. on Perv. As he earns his title of Demon as a graduation exam he finds himself somewhere he did not want to be "Equestria." Now he has to survive with every-pony trying to find someway to detain or kill him except one. As he gets a better idea as to how he would escape he finds a new threat he needs to help the locals combat or this and every other dimension maybe in even grater danger then when Isstvan was at large.

Dr. Wolf sat quietly in his chair, simply enjoying the silence between meetings. The only noise breaking the serenity was the ticking of the clock.

Even one who helped others with their stress, tension, and upset needed their own downtime once in a while to keep themselves grounded. Given his workload, it was a precious thing for the busy therapist to have any downtime at all.

However, his solitude ended with a knock outside his office. As the bipedal canine rose and opened the door, he looked up out of instinct. Instead of an adult pony looking down at him, the small wolf's eyes were greeted by the wall and the top of several little ponies’ manes. He readjusted his line of sight and found himself staring into the orange eyes of a young yellow Earth Pony.

His sensitive nose told him, by the smell of their perspiration, that the three had been doing some strenuous activity. Strangely, they also smelled of tree sap, among other things.

This story had been inspired by the fan art piece created by Starbat many months ago. When EquestriaDaily posted their "Friend Off Revival" contest, I felt driven to write up a video script with Starbat, and it got turned into a completed story here on FimFiction with a little help from Godzillawolf. For my first attempt at a My Little Pony story, I think it turned out rather nicely.
