Tonight was Twilight's third date with Rarity, her best friend and hopefully soon-to-be-marefriend. Though nothing had happened yet, and she was still trying to come to terms with the fact that something might happen, she was determined to make their third date even better than their last.

Twilight and Rarity never thought about staying together. But nopony can doubt the destiny. On a normal night they talk about life, their relationship and what they cannot ever have. Foals.

A lonely princess pores over her studies in a frigid castle, desiring nothing more than the warmth of an old friend. Twilight Sparkle, Princess of Equestria, wears a heavy crown wrought of burdens too numerous to bear, but perhaps a special visitor can ease her pain, if only for a moment.

Rarity always had feelings for Twilight, but never had the opportunity or courage to do anything about them. When Twilight falls ill, and Rarity is the one to care for her, the two draw closer, and their relationship shifts from friendly to romantic.

Twilight Sparkle and Rarity have become quite close!

For awhile, they have been meeting for relaxing down-time together, up above Canterlot.

Twilight returns to their secret glade, surprised by what she finds... a trail of messages.

After a full day in Canterlot, Twilight and Rarity decide to explore the palace garden's legendary hedge maze. Their attempts to unravel the mysteries of the labyrinth yield some interesting and unexpected results.

Everypony enjoys myths and ponytales, even if they know such things aren't real. Alicorns fighting against a spirit of chaos? An ancient princess trapped in a library under a tree, waiting to be found? Quite enchanting and fantastic tales yes, but nonetheless as fictional as Daring Do and other such stories. At least, that's what Rarity used to think.

She doesn't anymore.
