Nestled in a valley, along the bank of a wide river, stands the proud Sol Point estate. It sits in solitude, far from any city, town, or even settlement. Since it's construction 200 years prior to Luna's return it has remained a total secret. Now that Celestia has finally announced her retirement and transferred all of her ruling power to Luna, only the estate's name has become known to the public. Its secluded location remains a closely guarded secret, and that's how Celestia likes it. She's hoping for it to stay that way for at least another year or so.

When dealing with the omnipotent God of Chaos himself, however; that time frame shortens considerably.

If there's one thing that King Sombra misses most, it's being inside his old Empire. Sadly, both Shining Armor and Princess Cadence currently rule there in his stead.

Fluttershy once had a friend. An imaginary friend that kept her company, way before she knew her now best friend, Rainbow Dash, and even after. Said friend resides in a small, wooden pine box, a gift given to Fluttershy by her parents on her birthday, acclaimed to be a hoof-down that was left to her via a will.

The friend still visits her, but not very frequently. She has told nopony, nor does she plan to. Not even her closest friends know. One day, she has a conversation with this friend, and it is certainly not a conversation that she will forget any time soon.

This is that conversation.

Celestia wants to court Fluttershy. Naturally, the best way to do so is while drunk and with or without the support of her sister, Discord, and a baffled Twilight.

Things can only go well.

Discord never betrayed Equestria for Tirek, aiding in returning the magic to all the drained unicorns. As a result, Celestia deems him ready of a "small" gift: The Archduchy of the Everfree, technically making him the highest noble under the princesses.

Naturally, this shocks everypony, including Discord himself. Now of course his lands will some have some chaotic magic and strange laws in effect, but that doesn't mean he doesn't take the noble thing a little seriously. Why is anypony's guess, but it'll be entertaining to watch.

One month, they said. One month completely to themselves. One month of talking to one another, cuddling with one another, going on walks with one another, and living together. One month of sharing breakfast, sharing beds, sharing stories, and sharing sweet talk.

One month, they agreed on, and after the thirty days had gone by... if they were still as madly in love with each other as the day they first kissed... then they would share the joy of their relationship with their friends.

Twilight is in love with a donut. It's as simple as that.

Except perhaps it's not. Maybe it's not quite as random as she thinks...

Which is very often. What she can say is that Rarity is looking a lot more attractive tonight than usual.
Twilight's friends, determined to help Twilight and Rarity hook up, pull out all the stops to ensure that the two of them have a perfect evening. And with a little bit of help from strange places, including taking suggestions from an alligator and writing to the Princesses, Twilight and Rarity's friends just might succeed...
