I recall seeing the Rainbow Power in Equestria Girls and Rainbow Rocks .

What a waste of a good library. All for an ugly Crystal play set.

I remember. This episode was epic for most of the fight, but a bit disappointing at the end (Sombra showed they are willing and able to magically disintegrate villains in the previous season). And there were so many flaws in Celestia's plan, unless you think she intended everything to play out exactly as it did.

Another issue with Season 9: If the Mane 6 had the power all along (leading to a more climactic defeat for Sombra), why did they need Rainbow Power to beat Tirek? Or did Rainbow Power permanently give them that power (just without changing their appearance in future powerups)?
