Had to make some corrections to today's chapter. The correct version is now available.
I wanted to get some things of my chest.
Working on the next chapter of Consequences. Something has happened which is going to make people wonder if I'm rescinding my stance on shipping.
No. No, I haven't. But I ALSO work with what the show has established and there's an element that's emerged lately that I just cannot handwave away.
So yeah. That'll happen.
I wanted to apologize for the delays in updates to "Consequences." It's been difficult these last couple of weeks. Between holiday madness, issues I'm having with my employer, car trouble, and being sick for the last two weeks, my energy levels have been shot to the point that I get home, stare at my computer and just don't feel like writing or doing much of anything else.
I ran into a snag in terms of planning out the next chapter. Hoping to have it up by the end of the week.
Thanks for your patience.
She did it. She finally broke the last chains that bound her. Not even her parents can tell her what to do anymore. She’s her own mare now.
In the latest chapter, see how Twilight takes on the new Sweetie Belle.
So yeah, I've been stuck for a while with Consequences. The main reason being I HATE writing action sequences. And everyone seems to be expecting some big epic brawl to close things out and frankly, the idea just makes me tired.
So, now that I've gotten Subtofuge out of the way after far too long, it's time to get back on track.
I hope you're ready.
Consequences resumes on Thursday.
Sorry, guys. I had an exhausting day today and I just can't get anything written that isn't crap. We'll try again tomorrow.
Just a quick heads up.
There will be updates to Consequences this Thursday and Friday (July 26-27). However, there will not be updates on Saturday and Sunday (July 28-29). I have another non-fic project I need to get moving on and I need the weekend to do it right.
Just wanted to let everyone know.
Hey gang!
Pretty simple-- I recently started a fic that I really, really enjoy! I find that it's similar in tone to my own work (although its writing structure and talent is more competent and complete than my own) and I wanted to share!
The fic is called Force and Consequences. It's graphic, but for the right reasons. It is also a character-driven story focused on Rarity and Rainbow Dash!
So, I'm going on vacation this week and while I plan on taking my computer with me and working on Consequences during that time, the next couple of days are going to be taken up with things I need to do before I leave, so there's going to be a hiatus on updates while I deal with all of that. I'm hoping to have a new chapter up on Friday. I'm sorry to keep you all in suspense, but take some comfort in the fact that if I had stuck to my original plan... you'd be in just as much suspense.
So, I know I promised we'd get back to Consequences this week. However, yesterday, I was interrupted for a very good reason...
That is the apartment two over from mine. The fire is out now and I spent the night at my sister's house. I'll be going over later to see what's what. My place largely escaped damage except for a large hole in the ceiling above my front door.
So it hit me yesterday that it's been three years since I posted the first chapter of "Repercussions."
That's kind of mind-blowing. I'm not entirely happy I haven't been able to update "Consequences" as frequently as I'd like and I apologize to those of you who have been with this story since the beginning and to all the new readers who discover the trilogy every time I update.
As of today, Consequences is approximately 95% complete. I still have some bridging scenes to write and figure out how to end the closing scene, but yeah, the end is in sight.
Hope you're all ready.
As the girls drifted off to sleep, Elizabeth laid awake and thought to herself.
"I wonder when they will notice that I have a severe case of insomnia." Patrica looked at her slightly unsure.
"Okay... sweet dreams." She heads to her tent and looks towards Elizabeth, but upon seeing her 'asleep', she climbs into her tent and heads in acting as though she were tired and falling asleep. Elizabeth thought to herself again.
So, my job is changing my work hours. Downside: I go back to working five 8-hour shifts a week instead of four 10-hour shifts. Also I don't actually start until about 11:30 AM. I hate swing shift hours.
Chapter 32 and 33 posted in The Runaway Bodyguard. Starlight learns that choices all have consequences in two shorter chapters. It doesn’t go well. Next week, Starlight is told she is valuable. She considers whether it’s worth trading her freedom for
It's been a hell of a week, gang.
Aside from the fire last week, I also lost a gig for my second job hosting trivia nights (the venue made sure to say that it had nothing to do with me, they loved me. They just weren't getting the numbers they wanted). On top of that, this week, a friend I've had for 20 years made it clear he no longer wants anything to do with me.
