HOW TO WRITE STARSWIRL THE BEARDED (because he has a beard). · 5:53am Feb 21st, 2019
"Oh Tumbleweed!" you cry.
"Oh Tumbleweed!" you cry.
I just thought of something and it makes too much sense.
Starswirl the Bearded made a whole bunch of spells in his lifetime, and it's said he didn't really value friendship. And given that one of his spells was eventually able to be modified to travel back in time for a longer period...
I'm leaving home tomorrow to turn my associate's degree into a bachelor's degree at BYU Idaho. For reasons I do not fully understand, their honor code forbids beards. Mustaches are fine, apparently, but they kinda look really dumb on me. Whatever the case, It's a sacrifice I'm willing to make so that I can attend school there.
Click below the break for related pics of me, as well as a small update on what's going on with Monster Hunter: Equestria.
No comment on my current abilities, merely a statement of belief.
“... indeed what have any done, in the grand scheme, except deny the inevitable encroachment of time upon their body and mind, even as the signs grow stronger. All we can do is leave our mark upon the world, and hope we are remembered well once we pass on to the great meadow.”
Hey! Let's cross another thing off my Resolution list, cause I recently sent "Whatever Happened To Starswirl the Bearded?" to Equestria Daily. After a bit of editing and altering, it was recently approved! Something I wrote is on EqD! *squeals*
Hello everyone and welcome back to the question of the week.
This week's question is pertaining to my Robipony OC. So many of you probably aren't aware of this but I've growing an amazing, luscious beard and I'm wondering if maybe, just maybe should I give Robipony such a glorious beard as well?
Just two hours after publishing "07: The Bearded, the Clever, and the Smart", the comments for that chapter were about Twilight's magic. Two didn't get some hints I'd intended to convey, and two liked that Twilight was faking her magic. This blog will hopefully clear up any confusion.
Look everyone, I updated Roan! Yaaaayyyy
It's an interlude chapter that has to deal more with the war, and Star Swirl himself, than with Hope or the Crystal Empire. It also has to do with a very young pair of alicorn sisters who are living in the Equus capital city of Fillyon! Yes, I shamelessly stole Babylon for this story, because it sounded cool.
I just watched the finale of season 7, and I would like to give out my un-scripted and off-the-cuff impression of it.
So, short little blog update.
I just hit the publish button on Chapter 2 of "Fall of Roan", I hope you all enjoy it, as it features a character I've never written before, but plan to write more of in the coming chapters and in my next upcoming story!
Anyway, until next time!

So, thanks to Netflix finally catching up with S6 episodes a while back, we caught up with the state of the pony here in the Nova household, and then finished out the timeline with Legend of Everfree last night.
Seems like a lot of people (myself included) think Star Swirl taught Clover. But an idea hit me the other day. What if it was Clover that taught Star Swirl? It is beginning looking like she (do we know the gender? Clover could be a male name, too) predates him. Just a thought.
Tired Old Man has been a bit busy as of late but finally got around to looking at the latest chapter of my epic Star Swirl is an epic douche tale! His comments resulted in a coupe late additions that I thought were pretty humorous. Rather than force any readers to reread the whole thing to find them, I've added them below. Enjoy!
So... to begin with a disclaimer, I'm well-aware that the theory I'm about to propose may very well have been proposed by other users before, considering it could perhaps be seen as an obvious conclusion to make. And considering I haven't yet watched the piece of media that it's featured in, it may also be completely wrong, depending on the specific artifact's mechanics.
But this thought just came to me today, and I couldn't help but dwell upon it once it crossed my mind.
Beat the odds! Ogres and Oubliettes is now show canon.
So in celebration, I give you beards. Wonderful, manly beards.
You're welcome.
It's the Holly Jolly time of year! A magical holiday with a pretty dark undertone and maybe a deceptive origin
So, first off, I'm terrible at keeping schedules that I set. Its my fault. I'll work on it more, I promise. Blogs will get on a weekly schedule... soon... ish.
