A fire has broken out in the Everfree forest, and it's hungry flames have spread to the outskirts of Ponyville. While the arson is unknown, the damage the flames have done to the friendships of the Mane Six is apparent. The survivor must deal with a double dose of grief: the hard work ahead repairing the town, and the irreparable damage done to her relationships with her friends.

This is a little heavy-handed, and sad Pinkie is kind of old hat nowadays, but for what it is and compared to most of what I've seen in this contest, it's pretty good.

Agreed. Also, I felt that the ending wasn't really an ending. So many loose ends, and while (in my opinion) some loose ends to make the reader wonder are good, there were too many, and made me feel... unsatisfied? Anyways, that's my opinion. You get my vote anyways :rainbowwild:

Thanks for the feedback. I agree wholeheartedly about the ending; it was written very late at night in order to meet a deadline I did not know was going to be extended. While the ending made sense to my sleep deprived mind at the time, by the time i read it again in the light it was too late to change it. It will just be a learning experience!
