Flash Notion

The hardest part about writing is that nothing you make is ever as good on the page as it was inside your head... but other people don't know that, so we worry over nothing.

What if...

Friendship is Magic was the animated version of a series of tabletop RPG campaigns? What follows are transcripts of recordings showing what those campaigns might've been like...

As far as I know, FiM was not based on an RPG. I just thought the idea was cool.

Sex tag for some dirty talk/implications.

I hope this is actually somewhat funny.

I'm asking, are you serious and WHERE?!??!

Fun stuff. On one hand, there's the lack of consistent clarity of who's speaking at any given time, as well as the overall pace of the session seeming unnatural since it's an RPG session emulating the pace of a cartoon episode.

On the other hand, no fixes to those things should be implemented, since anything there would detract from this being the easy and fun read it is. The moments where the story makes allusions to things in canon on clever RPG aspects are really charming and something that I deeply appreciate. Ultimately, this is a promising start. Keep up the good work~

I now have the urge to listen to Old Man Henderson's adventures.
I will be following this.

Okay, This... is gonna be epic. :rainbowdetermined2:

Bit like the Ponies and Dragons comic strip, though that story does divert from the show's story pretty hard some times.
However, I must comment that you NEED to indicate who is talking somehow. This is a transcript format? Show the name of the speaker before their lines. I struggled with the first chapter because half the time I'd didn't know who was talking.

I enjoyed this but I agree it would help if you added the names.

unfortunately I can't use that method, as that would qualify it for script format, thus breaking site rules. I hope the fix I've now implemented helps.

Ah well that's a stupid rule. The color coding helps though, much more enjoyable when you can tell who's talking.

Just asking if you are serious about the desc.

*Description

Friendship is Magic is the animated version of an RPG campaign. These are the original transcripts of that campaign, gathered across multiple sessions.

Do not ask how I obtained them.

Just asking if you actually mean what u saying in it.

Lol as far as I know, it is not true. That's just the story premise. Go ahead, read the story.

Also changed the description a bit now so that confusion hopefully won't happen in the future.

And the entirety of Season 1 has been wrapped up in three D&D sessions, while the first one took two episodes. I don't want to know how long said sessions would have lasted.

Slight correction to your thought: 2 campaigns, an unspecified number of sessions. The first session did cover two episodes, but after that I haven't decided yet. What seems like a good number of sessions?

8624484 Never actually played D&D before, just seen a few games on youtube. Don't take anything I say too seriously.

Ah. Well.
My experience isn't much better, but the average rpg session for my friends and I lasted maybe 3 hours, max, and because we couldn't stop bitching at each other, covered maybe 5 rounds.
Based on the first session, these girls play a lot smoother, and we could assume that 2 episodes per session is the norm. That'd mean that flash's conversation with suri covered 11 or so sessions so far.
