Alphas do not mate with other alphas, and Sunset knows that. Unfortunately, a mishap between her and Rainbow Dash have put the two alphas in a complicated relationship.
"“I know, and I’d make you regret,” I replied" "“I know, and I’d make you regret it,” I replied"?
"Fluttershy’s went wide" "Fluttershy’s eyes went wide"?
"You deserve an omega who" "You deserve an alpha who"?
"An omega sought shelter from its alpha by nature" "An omega sought shelter from their alpha by nature"?
Well, that went quite well! Which, on the one hand, is in itself good. On the other, though, oh dear, the mess has now gotten even more complicated, with more people in the potential emotional blast radius. I found it a good chapter from the reader's side, though!
10122683 Thanks for the corrections, although the last one is actually right as is. the sentence is referring to an instinctive act by omegas in general, not by Fluttershy, and Omegaverse tropes use a lot of genderless language because Alphas, Betas, and Omegas primary defining characteristics in this society.
Really liking this. Though, the hardest thing im finding being super not familiar with omegaverse stuff is trying to seperate how much is instinctual versus otherwise. That does make whats happening between Shimmer and Dash all the more compelling though, if it is railing against nature.
10123165 Basically, Alphas and Omegas are supposed to be drawn to one another like opposite magnets. Their pheromones and such match up and draw them towards each other, Alphas tend to butt heads compete, but Sunset and Rainbow are actually attracted to one another, which is against the usual flow of biology.
10122801 Oh, interesting; thanks. Why genderless instead of gender-neutral, though? If you know (and don't mind answering, of course), at least for this universe (it sounds like it overall may just be one of the conventions).
nice work
Thanks for the chapter
I think we all know who's her
Because true love knows no boundaries, as we hope Fluttershy might teach her still.

When referring to their instinctual responses and actions, they usually use ‘genderless terms’ since it’s seen a kind of primordial reaction.

Hm, and also interesting; thanks.
