Ouch. I need to go away and think for a bit.

I think the box is actually a metaphor. If my reading is correct, Twilight Sparkle is Germany, Celestia is France, Pinkie is the other central powers, the others are the allied nations of the Great War, and the box is the 1919 Treaty of Versailles.

Either that or it's about depression or something. I dont know, I'm not a mind reader.

I like the idea that it's about depression. That makes sense, but a little bit abstract for my tastes. Still a good tale

Well... I think the author's subconcious mind is expressing some anxieties with the story over the current Covid-19 quarantine situation. Like Twilight, right now we are all stuck in "boxes" that we cannot get out of and have nothing but a computer to talk to our friends with.

Fuck the Pandemic.

LOLOLOL and here I came out with a stupid theory about Covid-19 and the stay-at-home quarantine...

I agree to the box being actually a metaphor.

It is about physiological problems and the attempt to find help over the internet.
She ist getting well-meant but in the end meaningless/useless advice.
No one is actually coming to her and tries to pry the box open from the outside, the only thing which could actually help.

Not bad but it seems surreal enough to make it so there isn’t much emotional connection.

A lot of symbolism in this one, and I like the concept of feeling helpless to escape the box on one's own. Pretty sure most of us can empathize with that.

Are we not all trapped inside of a box that's inside of a jar that's wrapped up in paper that's inside of a tupperware container that's inside of an enigma that's inside of an old oil drum that's buried in an undisclosed location somewhere in South America? I say no, because it isn't paper it is foil and if you try to bite down it it cuts up the inside of your mouth and that's how you get tetanus. That's why its important to always get your shots and don't listen to Jehovah's Witnesses. Indeed, if such things were true, it would be most concerning, fortunately there's an easy answer and it is digging your own hole and hiding deep inside it and living by nibbling on roots like a happy gopher. As a moral individual, I recommend nothing, but life as a fungus is probably survivable.

the story you liked yesterday was better than the one you liked today

This is the sadest story I have ever read. :fluttercry:
