Cadence had enough already. Fluttershy this, Pinkie Pie that. Who would’ve thought that reforming Discord and Sombra would cause such mayhem? They fought over who was the best pony all the time. So she decided it was time to put an end to it. She was going up to Celestia and proposing to bring back Sibling Supreme. It was time to settle this petty feud.

Twilight grumbly walked through her path. ”Become a princess, they said, it'll be easy, they said. No more end of the world disasters. Just bureaucracy and another young group of heroes would pop up. But here I am, doing this. Instead of having a quiet moment with my friends at Sugar Cube Corner.”

this is canon as to what a Princess should do, yes

Rarity rolled her eyes dramatically. “My challenge was stupidly rigged against me. they expected me to walk through mud. Mud! Can you believe it?”

as a rarity fan, i very much enjoyed this line and her challenge. though i did initially read her challenge as just getting over a mud puddle, which really made me laugh.

other things i enjoyed: fluttershy foiling discord's very discordesque attempt to rig it in her favor, trixie using this as an opportunity to get her taxes done, brick being a shade of red.

i have to admit, i was expecting something different given the character tags, since i was excited to read a story involving princess cadance that's not about her family or about her romantic life. and the setup at the beginning really could have been cut down and kept from dragging, maybe by folding the exposition more into the dialogue, show don't tell. but i can't be disappointed because the core of the story is good, which is really a story about the mane six facing individual challenges they cannot overcome alone, but can with each other, with the lesson being that, as Discord rightfully put it:

Discord threw the chalk he was holding onto the ground "Why it always gotta be friendship?!"

the romantic tension in the pairings was delightful as well. flutterdash, rarijack, and twipie! hits home for me because those are the exact pairings i am planning to write within the mane six for an upcoming story of mine; a fun coïncidence. i feel that twipie especially doesn't get enough love compared to the other twilight ships, and this is a great encapsulation of why i like it:

“40 bits. Break all four links in one of the chains and then use those four links to attach the remaining four chains together,” Pinkie responded with her eyes equally crazed.
“Kiss me!”
“Do Trixie’s taxes!”
“Deal!”

all in all, the core of the story is what really shines here, and could easily work as a canon episode, i can tell this was made with a lot of love for the show itself, and was made in its spirit. and in the end, the lesson was friendship; can't go wrong with that!

Howdy, hi!

This was amazing. I love me a good comedy and this delivered perfectly. It was predictable, but a good predictable. The challenges were super fun and the mane 6 were perfectly in character throughout the whole exchange. I love Starlight and Trixie doing a scrooge mcduck ending of swimming in bits. I in particular love AJ's and Twilight's challenges because of how over the top they are.

Overall, this was such a fun story to read. Thank you so much for writing it.

This concept is absolutely hysterical. It just kept getting funnier and funnier and it hadn't even reached the competition yet. Pinkie having reformed Sombra is a wonderful headcanon that I adore. Fluttershy over thinking Discords puzzle is also so in character, and it's hilarious to read.

There are a few problems grammar wise, but honestly, the execution completely makes up for it. Wonderful story that had me rolling, and honestly could work as an actual episode.
