The song "smile" was shown in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic season 2 episode 18 "A friend in deed", today. If anyone wants to I can try to create a Pinkie Pie's "Point of View" chapter from this episode, a Cranky Doodle Donkey's "Point of View" from this episode, or a novelization of this episode. If anyone has any suggestions for future chapters that would be great!
I updated (1/16/2012): I moved the story's status from complete to incomplete. I decided that will continue the story as seperate scenarios of this story's plot. That means it may have Pinkie Pie cheering up other ponies' whether they be OC, background, minor or main characters. Any requests for her to cheer somepony up? As for time periods the new stories can take place before or after what happens in Chapter 1.
I updated (1/1/2012): I added pictures for those not familiar with the characters and for size comparisons along with a description of my OC and a lengthier summary.

Summary: Pinkie Pie gives her thoughts on laughter, and cheers somepony up. The OC is a light brown earth pony with a dark brown and straight mane and tail. She is the same age as the Mane 6 but the size of Applebloom. She is bookish and shy. She wears glasses when reading. She constantly has a small frown on her face...But, can Pinkie pie change that?

This is my first fanfiction ever and my very first My Little Pony fanfiction is well. Pkease take that into account as you read it.
It's a good story but the only problem I have is the spacing with the speech. You need to press enter whenever a new character speaks. Like this.
"Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie and I love to laugh!" Shouted Ponyville's pink party pony happily.
"Hi, Pinkie Pie! I'm (Insert OC's name here.)" Replied the other pony.
If you could fix that it would make it easier to read! Other than that I like the story. It makes a difference from all the clop-fics and gory stories.

Well, I purposely tried to make the OC pony nameless and genderless so that it can be anypony you wanted: I.E. One of the Mane 6, one of their family members, a background pony, an OC, or even yourself! The only problem was that I was forced to assign the pony a gender. Thank you for reviewing and reading my very first fanfiction ever. That makes me so happy.
Um...Can anypony answer a few of my questions since I am new here?

I have something to confess to. I bumped up my own story's rating from 2 stars to 4 in hopes that people will read it. I just really want feedback on this story. Please forgive me.
I got my questions answered above, but I have 3 more.
1) Can you stop tracking stories?
2) When I click on "My Page" nothing is displayed and the my avatar is not being processed...Why is that? Also, even though I favorited stories they don't show up under that section. Why?
3) How do you watch people? I've gone to their page and clicked on the watch button, but nothing happens.
Please help me.
Overall, it's a good story.
The only problem is that a new paragraph doesn't begin when a pony begins to talk which could be confusing. Because of that, it can be difficult to make out which pony is talking.
Other than that, it's adorable and I like how it showcases Pinkie Pie's determination to making others happy.
