I started writing this a few days ago. I don't know how good it is really, or if I'm improving as I write more. It's been a long time since I last posted anything though, for a few reasons. It's been difficult to motivate myself; a lot of bad and stressful stuff happened in my life since my last story.

I admit I was dubious when I saw a complete, 4000 word story with that description and having read it I see I was right. This isn't a story. This is just chapter 1. My advice is change it to incomplete and write the rest.

I do see your point, so I've changed the description/status of the story. The problem is that I don't know when I will ever write the next chapter. Motivational issues, etc, and I'm off to university in a couple of weeks. I could write it tomorrow, or never, so it was just one of those things where I didn't know what to put. I didn't want to give it a definitive ending if I then decided I wanted to write more, but equally I realise the 'cliffhanger' isn't in keeping with a 'complete' story. I'll have to have a think about what I'm going to do, but thank you for taking the time to comment.
